Similar question - does IG platform follow NY 5pm closing time?

Not sure about the US, but by convention the platform clock is based on the time where the IG central office is based eg UK uses London (GMT), Australia uses Melbourne (ECT) but as IG runs most markets 24/5 their platform signals a close at 23:59 and open at 00:00. Stock markets open and close as per their operational time converted to whichever country you are based. But even then there are many stocks that can be traded during extended hours.

The platform time zone can't be changed unless using a 3rd party platform such as the IG version of Prorealtime.

Thanks for the Reply Casey. Specifically i'm looking to understand what time the daily candlestick closes and starts a new one. It looks like the chart is using my local timezone to do this at the moment, but wondering if this can be changed.

The broker stamped time can't be changed on the broker's platform, only on a third party platform such as Prorealtime.

The Daily candle close depends on the market, I think the commods close at 10pm UK BST on the US market close but FX I think is midnight to midnight.
