Div adjustment

TC888

Question

Hi there,

I noticed on my account there are div adjustments on a equity index position..... What is this??? I assume I am paying dividends out since I'm short the index through the daily. I also have interest charges.... Anyone know how the interest charges are calculated? Is it the leverage afforded by the position?

Cheers,

Thanks for your post,.

With dividend index adjustments you don't gain or lose from them. ]

If you held a short position you will see that the price will move in your favour but you will have a debit on your account. The video below may be the best way to explain it. If you need anything else @CharlotteIG or quote my post before responding.
