Spread bets and CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 69% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading spread bets and CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how spread bets and CFDs work, and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Professional clients can lose more than they deposit. All trading involves risk.
The value of shares, ETFs and ETCs bought through a share dealing account, a stocks and shares ISA or a SIPP can fall as well as rise, which could mean getting back less than you originally put in. Past performance is no guarantee of future results.

Question
k_b
I've made some profit on IG a few years ago (enough for a mortgage deposit) but I haven't used my account for a while now. It seems to be still active, but when I try to deposit some funds, I always get this error: "We are unable to process your payment right now. Please try again later or contact our helpdesk on 0800 409 6789 or +44 (0)20 7633 5320 if the issue persists."
I tried my ISA and shares dealing account with my card and paypal, same result. I tried calling the numbers, but after over 30 minutes of listening about the unusually high volume of calls and how my call is important to them, I've given up.
Has anyone experienced this issue?
