Dividend Payments

I am planning on selling shares that had announced a Dividend, but the payment will not be made to my account for another 6 weeks.

If i sell my shares before receiving the dividend payment, will I miss out?

Hey James, 

If this is your share dealing/ ISA account and you've held shares through an ex div date, even if you sell the shares before the pay date you will receive the dividend.
