Launching ProRealTime from new platform

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am getting to grips with the new platform and can see that it is possible to launch stocks or other instruments in ProRealTime, however, I cannot find how to simply launch ProRealTime i.e. without opening a new stock.  I already have templates saved in PRT and don't necessarily want to open another stock to get to them .... is there an independent "Launch PRT" button the same as there is under "Tools" in the old platform?

Any follow up to this IG ?

I have the same problem and it is very annoying. I am having to delete a chart from my templates every day because I cannot find another way to open PRT.

IG are aware of the problem.

As an interim solution I opened the old platform and selected PRT which opens a new browser tab. Bookmark that browser tab. Now when using the new platform and you want to launch PRT just open a new tab yourself, select your bookmarked PRT launcher and "launch away".  Seems to link ok so far with the new platform.... updates and displays positions/orders same as before.

Hi  and

We plan to add a dedicated ProRealTime button in the coming weeks. I've will update this discussion once we've added this. Thanks for your feedback on this and your patience while we add it.

Right click on a market brings up a dropdown box with a 'open in ProRealTime' option to open a PRT chart.

Hi Caseynotes. Yes we know that you can open a new chart in PRT that way. What we want is to open PRT without creating a new chart.

Ha,  yes, I thought that seemed a bit obvious, - but stating the obvious 'just in case' never hurt anyone :)

Hi , ,

I'm pleased to say that today we've added a dedicated ProRealTime launch button, located in the account menu on the top-right of the platform:

We're also exploring the possibility of adding this to the My IG dashboard in future too.

I appreciate your feedback and patience while we added this.
