Why is the spread so big on the ig.com platform?

FiftyBagger

Question

I currently own shares that are valued at $7.25 on NASDAQ.  To buy on ig.com it is $7.27, to sell it is $7.14.

Can someone explain this spread and why, after paying commission on buying shares, and paying a fee to fund our accounts, ig.com are still ripping us off with the spread?

HI @FiftyBagger,

Could you please clarify which Stock are you referring to ?
If you have a screenshot or exact time when you saw this pricing would be useful.

Thank you - Arvin

Hi,

The stock is NASDAQ:MESO

Thats the typical spread that I am seeing for that stock.

Another stock where the spread seems wide is ASX:JRL.

Check anytime for those two stocks.

Thanks

Hi @FiftyBagger,

JRL is 3.13 / 3.16 , now 3.020/3.020 :

MESO is closed at the moment, do you have a screenshot of the spread when the market is live?

Thanks
