off set

Recommended Posts

I noticed in the description of the new platform that the default will be to off set trades in the same instrument. The default should be not to off set. I use hedging extensively and off setting trades would undermine the whole strategy. I understand that some traders might wish to off set but this should not be the norm. Please confirm that once the off set has been disabled in settings that it will apply permanently and to all trades.

Thank you

Hi ,

The New Web Trading Platform will by default be set to "Net Off", this is similar to how it was on the classic platform where force open would be un-ticked by default. The new platform has a feature where you can configure your preference when it comes to the force open setting.

Have a look in settings located on your left toolbar, there will be an option to set your default to "net off" or "force open", so if you would like to hedge your positions by default then select the default to  "force open"

Hope this helps

    • yes, keep away from ftse and gbpusd until brexit is sorted, yesterday was deal done, then last night no deal, then this morning deal done at 2am news released about half an hour ago, that's why it's all over the place. look at these dax and ftse HA M5 charts.
    • Dax moving up to test yesterday's highs, Dow powers up to the pivot, if Dow can break the pivot Dax should see R1 H1 charts;
    • Not got anything out of the market today either. Gonna look for new strategies, different assets, different timeframes, ... Any suggestions welcome. Also probably back to Demo for a while.
