Stop Loss options not being displayed

baltimix

Question

Hi,

New to all this and just trying to figure out the platform. I don't seem to be able to set Stop Losses on my positions. Which, I don't understand as these are available on my Demo Account, for the same position.

I don't even get the settings option to remember my stop loss settings.

Any ideas?

Hi @baltimix,

The Demo account simulate a CFD account. On a share trading account you can't add a Stop Loss
https://www.ig.com/au/help-and-support/investments/share-trading/can-i-add-a-stop-or-limit-to-a-share-trading-position

You can see Order type : Quote  or Limit Order because the market is closed at the moment ( on the screenshot), Once the market is live you will have more options.

All the best - Arvin
