Share Dealing Account closure and Dividends due to be received

If I sell a UK equity position after the ex-dividend date but before the payment date; the dividend payable is by rights, due to me.

If I was to close my IG Share Dealing Account before the payment date, what will happen to the dividend when it is received by IG (on the payment date)?

Will you automatically remit it to my registered bank account? Or should I wait until the payment date, manually withdraw the funds, and finally instruct you to close my Share Dealing Account at that point?

Please advise.

Thanks for the query. 

We pay dividends to your trading account. Administratively it would be easier to wait until after the payment date, then withdraw your dividend, then instruct us to close the account.
