How to view Indices in MT4

Recommended Posts

Hi. I'm doing some back testing on an EA and want to test some indices like US30, US500 etc, but I can only see FX symbols in my options. How can I open or add indices to MT4. BTW this is a demo account, not sure if that makes any difference.

Thanks

Hi @Joner

Thanks for reaching out. Just check 'View' > 'Symbols' > and select the folder Indices. You would be able to click on Show so they appear in your watchlist. All the best, OfentseIG

Hi. It was some time ago but I am pretty sure I did. Is there a way to see?

Or should I just just re-install, btw I am using an Apple Mac, not sure if that makes any difference.

Thanks Ian

Hi @Joner

Please try re-installing.

These markets are always available when accessing MT4 through the IG server. All the best, OfentseIG
