UK inflation eases back, but remains among the highest in the western world

A drop in petrol prices and the falling cost of clothing have been highlighted as the main reason for the small decline in the UK inflation rate.

This is the second month in a row where we have seen a drop although it has not been as marked as it has been in some other countries
