XLM: The Future of Cross-Border Payments.

Recommended Posts

Stellar Lumens, XLM is an open-source, decentralized protocol for transferring money quickly and efficiently. It is designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial status. It is the native token of the Stellar network, and it is used to pay for transactions and services.

It is one of the oldest decentralized projects and cryptocurrency ecosystems, having been launched in 2014 by Ripple Labs co-founder Jed McCaleb. While Ripple was developed for banking solutions, Stellar is focused on digital payments and the company behind it is the Stellar Development Foundation.

XLM has recently partnered with World Bank to help develop a blockchain-based platform for cross-border payments, and also announced a partnership with the Stellar Development Foundation to launch a $100 million fund to support the development of dApps on the Stellar network.

These partnerships have shown an increase in utility and adoption, including the recent listing of XLM by Bitget on the exchange. This must have been triggered by the obvious involvement of XLM in the digital financial sector.

Given the increasing adoption of XLM and listing on major exchanges like Bitget, what would the future of digital finance look like in the coming days?

    • Some indices in Asia saw a modest rebound, but the ASX200 and Nikkei continued to fall, following on from yet more heavy losses in the US. Stocks continue to take a battering from the realisation that the Fed would leave US rates at their current levels for a longer period than previously thought, leading to a reversal in equities and a resumption of the losses seen in the early part of September. Today's data is dominated by flash PMIs from around the globe, in the wake of a Bank of Japan statement that left policy unchanged and maintained its dovish outlook. While US futures have recovered slightly, European markets seem set for a choppy open.
