Welcome Andy! There’s been a few people from Labs over now so it seems like there’s more pressure to shift it over. Maybe that’ll happen and it’ll kick off the chat again?!

Now into my seventies, I gave up paid employment just before my 50th birthday, to trade UK stocks from home instead. It worked. But because I began with FAR less capital than most advisers considered necessary, leveraged spreadbets played a significant role for me. Once I passed 65 and my pensions kicked in, I was able to ease back from using leverage, but still make the occasional spreadbet.

Hi, I am a new trader. Hope to learn from so many smart people here. I have traded shares before but I have to admit the wide range of CFD products in IG.com is really huge and overwhelming. Please can you teach me how to become rich and successful like you?

Hi, I am new to IG Trading. Just a query about buying shares... can I select buying at market or at a price until filled?   My system is excluding me buying at a price until filled, just at current day. I am buying Australian shares.

Never seen this before, So Hi...Been "Retail Trading" for over a decade, In the last few years concentrated heavily on automation with the REST API that IG Provide. Very good stuff. I release a lot of code for free for people to use. It's not that hard to find if you want a look, I am not into self promoting. If people are looking they will find it. Annoyed by the ESMA regs imposed upon us last year so focus on Stocks alot more now.

Guest JeForceX

Hi,

I am JeForceX from Singapore!

1. Let the Community know something about your trade history. Have you ever traded before? If so, what did you trade? What are you interested in and do you have any trade ideas for the future?
I used to be an Equity Trader before transforming into a REIT Investor over a period of 5 years. Used to make my trading decisions solely based on Fundamental Analysis and paid a considerable amount of "Tuition Fee" to "Mr. Markets". I am presently trading Forex, Commodities, and Indices on the IG Web Trading Platform.

2. How do you make your trade decisions? Fundamental or technical analysis?
After learning about Technical Analysis, I started to look at the markets from a different perspective. As of today, I make my trading decisions based on Technical Analysis while taking into consideration probabilities Fundamental factors which could affect my trading plan.

3. What do you want to get out of IG Community? Education, trade ideas, help?
I seek to become a Consistently Profitable Trader through education and discussion with members of the IG Community.

    • Natural Gas Mode - Impulsive  Structure - Impulse Wave  Position - Wave (iii) of 5 Direction - Wave (iii) of 5 still in play   Details:  Price now in wave iii as it attempts to breach 1.65 wave i low. Wave (iii) is still expected to extend lower in an impulse.   Natural Gas is currently breaching the previous April low, marking a decisive move as the impulse initiated on 5th March continues its downward trajectory, further extending the overarching impulse wave sequence that commenced back in August 2022. This decline is anticipated to persist as long as the price remains below the critical resistance level of 2.012.   Zooming in on the daily chart, we observe the medium-term impulse wave originating from August 2022, which is persisting in its downward trend after completing its 4th wave - delineated as primary wave 4 in blue (circled) - at 3.666 in October 2023. Presently, the 5th wave, identified as primary blue wave 5, is underway, manifesting as an impulse at the intermediate degree in red. It is envisaged that the price will breach the February 2024 low of 1.533 as wave 5 of (3) seeks culmination before an anticipated rebound in wave (4). This confluence of price movements underscores the bearish sentiment prevailing over Natural Gas in the medium term.   Analyzing the H4 chart, we initiated the impulse wave count for wave (3) from the level of 2.012, which marks the termination point of wave 4. Notably, price action formed a 1-2-1-2 structure, with confirmation established at 1.65 and invalidation set at 2.012. The confirmation of our anticipated direction materialized as price breached the 1.65 mark, signifying a resumption of bearish momentum. Presently, there appears to be minimal resistance hindering the bears, thereby reinstating their dominance in the market. It is projected that wave iii of (iii) of 5 will manifest around 1.43, indicative of the potential for the wave 5 low to extend to 1.3 or even lower. This comprehensive analysis underscores the prevailing bearish outlook for Natural Gas in the immediate future.       Technical Analyst : Sanmi Adeagbo Source : Tradinglounge.com get trial here!
