Why should you sell dip?

Recommended Posts

It is a best practice to buy dip and sell high but this strategy mostly doesn’t go as planned because you can’t predict the final bottom. Some traders BTD anticipating a potential pullback which mostly doesn’t happen and this force some into panic selling. DYOR is mostly advisable but some people fail to know which analysis they should focus more on. When deciding to hold a token for a long-term FA is very important and its cardinal point should be thoroughly scrutinized before making such a decision. These points include; Whitepaper, Road map, and Usecase. These points have a huge impact on deciding how long to hold a project and also booast your confidence in the project's bullish potential.

The first principle in this industry is “invest what you can afford to lose" though many neglect this principle as such when a project is going through a price correction they panic sell and sell at a huge lost. Most normal regret their decision later when they see the project back on track. Once you adhere to the first principle you hardly fall victim to panic sales. Note that it is mostly not advisable to hold meme tokens una less you are convinced because meme goes with the hype and finds it hard to retest its ATH once the hype is over.

Anyway what are your trading strategy and principles you adhere to most?

Arguably, the first principle is Do Your Own Research (DYOR). Though this is not to say that “invest what you can afford to lose" is any less important yah. Aside from FA, I also use TA when I want to DCA in on any project and I also pay attention to the tokenomics.

Lastly. timing is important, so i like to be an early bird in any projected im interested in. Thats why i keep up with Bitget exchange cos they are timely in listing projects yah.

First of all we should emphasis on "Risk Management". Everyone's risk appetite isn't same, so without proper risk management, any kinda strategy isn't gonna work. But yeah, time management is also a factor, exchanges like Bitget lists tokens before others which is a good side . Because I can hop on early!

    • Hi KoketsoIG, Thank you for the clarification on that. Cheers
    • Dear @millennium_falcon, Hey there! Thank you for reaching out. Just a heads-up, you can only have one API key for each environment, either live or demo. No third API key can be created.  Thanks, KoketsoIG
    • To clarify my understanding. From my Usecase, I have three separate programs all operating interdependently from one another. A program to subscribe to tic data on a number of Epics via the LightStream API, another to grab historic on a number of Epics via the REST API, and finally another to manage positions via the REST API. I need to do this on my demo account initially to get API code stabilized. The IG website specifically says that I need separate API key for each distinct program connecting to IG over REST or LightStream. So in my understanding it looks like I need three API keys all for the demo account. Am I missing something or have I misunderstood how to use these API keys? I am aware of the API request limits and this is why I assumed you need a key per program. Currently I have one API key for the demo account and cannot seem to add more keys to the demo account? I have looked at the FAQ and cannot see an answer for my query.
