Charts not working

Guest MrFrustrated

Question

Guest MrFrustrated

I can not get the basic chart to work.  I just installed the latest Javascript but still no go.  I remember last time I used IG Markets, a couple of years ago, I spent hours working this out.  I can't believe they haven't made the process easier by now.

Hi  - we haven't had any other reports of charts not working, however like  stated we do routinely turn off full platform functionality over the weekend for maintenance etc. If your charts still aren't working then I believe it would be something isolated to your machine or set up, however the following troubleshooting methods may help.

  1. Open your chart in a different web browser.  For example, if you usually use Windows Explorer, try Google Chrome. We recommend Chrome as a default browser. All the support below relates to Chrome, however different browsers may have different methods.
  2. Make sure that you’ve allowed ‘Flash’ for the IG.com website. Simply right-click on ‘IG Group Limited’ in the address bar, and select Flash > Always allow.
  3. Clear your cache and browsing data. You should usually be able to find this under the ‘settings’ or ‘history’ section in most browsers. On Chrome, click the options button in the top right-hand corner, and then ‘more tools’ and ‘clear browsing data’. Make sure to tick the first three boxes, and then click ‘clear browsing data’.
  4. Please clear your Flash cache by clicking on this link and selecting ‘delete all sites’ in the website settings storage panel towards the top of the screen.
  5. Please make sure that your Flash player settings are correct, depending on whether or not you have a 32 or 64 bit computer. This link will provide you with the correct software.

Hello James!

I've just tried it on Chrome (again) and charts are not working. That's most likely because I'm on MacOS which doesn't support for Flash for many reasons.

When are you going to provide charts in HTML5?

BY the way, the market data page doesn't work properly, either. There is no scaling available.

Regards,

Max

I am in the same position as several others here - I have tried everything suggested but still can not access charts.  I do not have an indefinite time available to sit at the computer and it seems difficult/impossible to get help from the supposed support team.
