Charting problem

cate

Question

Hi guys,

Part way through this morning my charts have stopped displaying any data. I'm using the basic charts running on google Chrome. The chart is just displaying a message saying "Right click to run Adobe Flash Player" but right clicking doesn't have any effect. I would say this is a problem with my system, but I've spent an hour trying to debug and as far as I can see my chrome and flash are both up to date, and I can't see what would have suddenly changed mid morning.

Just checking on here to make sure it really is just me, and not a charting problem other people are experiencing too.

Thanks!

Cate

Hi  - please make sure you look into the follow and let me know. I think this should resolve your issue.

In the top URL click on the IG Group text > Flash > Always allow. It probably is automatically set to default, but this method should get you sorted. You will then be prompted to refresh your page, so just accept / click yes.

Guys, thank you all so much. I really appreciated the help. It turned out I did need to update flash: I just wasn't expecting that sort of thing to suddenly happen in the middle of a session! But I've learnt something in the process - so thanks to all of you for the advice!

Happy trading!

    • Hi all. I have a chunk of cash sitting around and don't really want to allocate it to equities or anything too risky so I was hoping to pick up some regular coupons from something like non-junk bond. I've tried to find bonds on my ISA or Share Dealing account but they don't really seem to exist. I can't find bonds nor ETFs of bonds...  Also can someone help me to understand - like I don't want to bet on the value of bonds or rates going up. I only care about dumping cash in bonds and receiving regular coupons. I understand that the prices of bonds go up and down and therefore you may make a gain/loss on your principal if you sell before maturity, but I kinda want a low-risk bond and want to hold it to maturity. Or at least something that has that kind of risk-reward profile.
