multiple instance of same indicators

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how (and if) we can plot same indicator (such as MACD) more than one time on same chart. Such as one MACD with standard 12/26/9 settings but another MACD with some different settings and both to be displayed on the same chart ?

Hi   Not that I know of on the IG new and old platform but you can on MT4 and I think on Prorealtime if I remember correctly.

Consider using 2 different indicators and playing around with the settings, most are related because they use as a base moving averages. For example look at the similarities between MACD at 12, 26, 9  and Stochastic at 26, 12, 9.

But all else being equal (putting aside the trade issue) and given the overall good state of the US economy all the main indices should be drifting up out of this period of consolidation. But the big levels always matter and any breach takes some effort to undo and a drop below 12544 puts us back into a prior range whose bottom is indeed around 11800."
