Delayed Alerts

Recommended Posts

Hi there all,

I may be new to the community though I have been trading with IG for a number of years now. I have recently come across a new problem...

I have a couple of indicator alerts set on 1 minute charts which have worked fine for me for a long while now. I used to get my alerts practically straight away (within 20 secs) though I am finding that recently they are coming 6 minutes after the indicator occurs. Obviously this now means that I miss a number of opportunities which is completely unacceptable.

I have just moved to the new platform 2 days ago and was wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

For me this is a major issue and although I love the layout and the assimilation with the mobile platform that the new platform has, if this is what is screwing with my indicators then I will have to move back to the old.

Please let me know if anyone else is having similar problems.

Thanks, Dan

Hi

There is a problem with indicator alerts in in general, our developers are looking into it and we hope to have it resolved as soon as possible. The problem is not specific to the new platform, the back end software used for alerts is the same whether you set the alert from the new platform or the old platform.

I am sorry that you are receiving delayed alerts, the investigation is treated as a priority and once resolved you will be able to receive immediate alerts on any of the platforms.

Thanks

Anton

Hi

I've just been keeping an eye on the alert delays over the last few days and have found that the delay period appears to be longer during the US market opening hours than the European. Last night (my time) the delay was 5-6 mins and right now is pretty much instant.

Just thought you might like to know

    • SAGE modellers predicted 100,000 cases a day if restrictions were lifted. Wrong again. ''over 1,200 so-called experts signed ‘the Declaration’ – cooked up by the same people behind the John Snow Memorandum – warning of the terrible effect easing coronavirus restrictions on July 19th would have. The Declaration originally took the form of a letter in the Lancet, published on July 7th, in which 120 self-described ‘scientists’, many of them members of Independent SAGE, described ‘Freedom Day’ as “dangerous and premature”.  Have 1,200 Experts Ever Been Proved Wrong So Quickly? – The Daily Sceptic The reality is that a lot of modern science has been corrupted and no longer works for enquiry but now works for pay masters with an agenda, entire scientific fields have become completely politicised and scientists themselves acting to shut down and deplatform differing opinion. The exact opposite as to what science is supposed to be about. The start of the next flu season begins in a few months so all the BS will start all over again.     Meanwhile, @Virg2101 THIS is what living with the virus looks like. Sweden still has positive cases - 463/day - but its people are trusted & respected by the Government. 41% of the population is fully vaxxed with no lockdowns, divisive coercion, unvaxxed segregation or relentless campaign of fear.

    • Hi all, Could you please check in My IG > Settings > Prices & dealing alerts: You can check if the alerts are correctly set up on that screen. If you have set up your alerts on a mobile app you might need to setup the alerts on the web platform as they won't carry over.  We are working on syncing both alerts across. All the best - Arvin
