Calculate RSI

Question

Hello!

I would need RSI indicator values to perform BackTest analysis using excel. Is there a way to download them? I used the IG's API but I can get only prices, not indicators.

I also tried to use this tutorial (see) on  RSI  calculation using Close values but the RSI values I got don't match with those reported by IG.

Any suggestion???

Thank you very much!

I'm afraid it's not possible to download indicator values using the API. Like you say you will need to calculate the RSI values yourself which is fairly straightforward in Excel. If you are seeing different values ensure you are using the same timeframe and "number of periods" parameter.

Hope this helps.

Andy
