MT 4 Connection Status

MT4 connection status is blue and green instead of green and red  which after a bit of research was told I am connected to a data center and not directly to the IG server now price of my lots is not moving unless I reconnect to a different server this will update the price and the red green flashes and goes back to blue and green again, the strange thing is that the price charts are normal and everything else on the platform is working in order on the MT4 platform. I have tried installing and reinstalling and that didn't work. this issue is not only happening on my PC but also on my phone App (MT4 as well )

Hi @Ossam,  I've always been connected to a data center with the connection blue/green, if ever I've seen red it's meant trouble. Click on File > Open an Account and look at the server speed then click on the connection box to check that the fastest data center is checked and matches the IG server

thanks for responding, I have done what you mentioned , I do that and it would flash the update and then it stops, am a little bit confused as why is it doing it on both my MT4 app (phone and PC) am suspecting this is a problem with my broker

OK, I've found the note about red green and you are right but shouldn't make a difference. See this page and number 5, could be antivirus, firewall, or internet security interfering.

Thanks for your effort but I have viewed this page already and tried all of that, I have even connected to my account from another computer which is running an account from a different broker and the account is running with no issues , when I logged with my account the same issue happened, I guess it is an issue from IG.

Ok, can't think of anything else but if the problem is in the feed then many should be affected, not having any issues here, good luck.
