Is it ok to use the same account if I move to a different country?

Question

Hi, so I opened an account on IG when I was in Australia, and traded for a while. Then I moved to Japan and is not going back to Australia. Is it ok if I keep using the same account?

The concern is more on whether I can update my bank details to a Japanese bank, and credit card to one issued in Japan. Is there going to be a problem with withdrawing/depositing funds?

Thank you!

If you move to an alternative country you'd have to open a direct account with that office. In the case of Japan that would be ig.com/jp - this is due to different legal jurisdictions among other things.

We currently do not offer accounts to Canadian residence I'm afraid.
