Question

Hi IG team,

Please find the below attached summary of my two accounts held with IG so far. Out of the two accounts, I guess one account 100071 will be affected due to the upcoming increased margin requirements (2% to 5%). Please confirm whether my calculation is correct and let me know how to avoid a margin call for my account 100071. From my understanding, I am thinking of two options,

Option1: Transfer the balance equity from 100071 to my other account 102230.

Option 2: Close this 100071 account.

Please check and recommend me a solution. Another question: For 100071 account, after 5thOct, will my account be completely shutoff or only few orders will be closed by IG and leave the account alive?

AstraZeneca’s (AZN) pipeline will be in focus. Plus, Unilever (ULVR) Credit Suisse (CSGN) and Lyft (LYFT) also report. • Since USD/JPY has given a technical sell signal, we would like to go short the cross at ¥130.85 with a downside target at ¥126.50 and a stop-loss just above Monday’s high at ¥132.95.
