AUD/JPY price manipulation

Yes, I agree. There seems to be manipulation on the part of IG who try to knock out retail traders. Stuff like this can ruin you and destroy years of work. This is clearly a case for the FCA. I also checked the chart with my other broker and "surprise, surprise", their chart is totally normal. By the way, for some odd reason Caseynotes is apparently the only one who cannot seem the spike. Be careful, Caseynotes is paid off by IG.

Ha ha, are you trying to trade off your mobile phone with it's dodgy 2 bar signal, what a complete loser ha ha.

Here is the AUDJPY chart, see no spike. Also know that the chart and your account are 2 separate entities, no false spike on a chart can adversely affect your account.

What kind of redneck are you? Insulting people as complete losers for stating their opinion. Actually, you are a complete loser cuz you spend your life sitting in front of the charts from 6 am till late afternoon every day *l*m*a*o. A pro trader spends half an hour max per day haha. Also, your screenshot does not prove jack. Could be from anywhere, does not show it's from IG.

you are a clown, because some **** has wafted through your brain you presume it must be real, you make up false allegations and seem surprised someone might call you out. I day trade so of course I spend the day at the charts, even a moron could work that out.

Daytrading does not equate to spending the whole day in front of the computer!!! It means opening and closing trades on the same day. Only a complete moron wastes his life like you. Sitting in front the chart the whole day... my god, get a life... ah I forgot..

Yeah man.... to each their own... it's just remarkable that you are the only one not having issues everyone else has with IG. IG is a nice weather broker and in times like these they fail utterly and let people down. Delayed and screwed up charts, trading not possible, closing trades not possible, generic email answers that do not solve people's issues, calls are not being answered and so so. But your account works perfectly fine and I am sure they answer your call immediately when you call them. That's why my conclusion is that

well considering you are trying to trade on a mobile phone with a **** signal I expect everyone else has less issues than you.

I've not had a need to call the helpdesk for years, I did call my bank on Wednesday by they had a waiting time of over an hour (virus > staff shortages), tough, it wasn't urgent so I just hung up.

Andrew: lol I totally agreed with u. I was betting someone would have the same perception since yesterday...bingo~

But sadly Caseynotes will always come back with some sad logic and has his last say...It’s almost an addiction haha.

Let’s be nice and let him have that honor.

There r better things to do than to argue with ignorance in times like these:

PS: Caseynotes, yes go on, have your last said in the most condescending way u can...good boy:)

@dmedinGood to know that you have never had any issues with those spikes. And no, I was not affected by this one, luckily. But a year ago, when I also saw a spike like that and reached out to IG they were talking about an alleged flash crash so the spike seems to have been real. They also said that everyone affected by this was entitled to compensation. But who knows if this is reliable. If you try to live off of trading I do not wanna deal with that kind of stuff. So my whole point here is that I wanna know what's going on with these spikes and if they affect people and whether or not IG is manipulating to destroy retail traders.

easy. logic isn't sad, it's truth. the problem is many just can't handle it, that's what's sad.

Yes, I want to know about this too.  For example if asked to provide screenshots when this happens - it might be better to turn on screen recording software when trading, because it's tricky to remember to take constant screenshots everyday.

I reached out to IG on this issue. Will post their answer as soon as I get one.

    • Look ahead to 31/5/23: China PMI; France GDP; Germany CPI Economic data is key on Wednesday. It starts in Japan with retail sales, followed by Chinese PMI.  Jeremy Naylor | Analyst, London | Publication date: Tuesday 30 May 2023  IGTV’s Jeremy Naylor looks at the chances that the Chinese yuan will weaken further as it becomes more and more obvious that the recovery in China is further away than initially expected. Then in the eurozone we’re looking at the CAC 40 and DAX as growth and inflation data is released. The only corporate on the schedule is from stationers, WH Smith.
    • Charting the Markets: 30 May FTSE 100 lower while DAX moves higher in early trading, and Dow looks to edge up following reports of debt ceiling deal. EUR/USD declining and USD/JPY holding firm, while GBP/USD begins to show signs of a higher low. Chris Beauchamp | Chief Market Analyst, London | Publication date: Tuesday 30 May 2023  Gold’s pullback slows down, while Brent crude turns lower and natural gas struggles to hold the 50-day MA.               This is here for you to catch up but if you have any ideas on markets or events you want us to relay to the TV team we’re more than happy to.
    • Artificial intelligence (AI) is the new big hot topic.  Jeremy Naylor | Analyst, London | Publication date: Tuesday 30 May 2023  After NVIDIA last week reported a massive earnings and revenue beat, the company is now building Israel's most powerful AI supercomputer. It will cost hundreds of millions of dollars, but the computational power proposal is astonishing. The system, called Israel-1, is expected to deliver the performance of up to eight exaflops of AI computing. One exaflop is a standard measure of performance for a supercomputer. Exa is short for quintillion, a 1 followed by 18 zeros, which means one exaflop has the ability to perform one billion-billion calculations per second. This proposal from NVIDIA is to build a computer which can perform eight times that amount of calculations per second. The report suggests that the system will be partly operational by the end of 2023. (Video Transcript) More good news for NVIDIA NVIDIA, the artificial intelligence (AI) specialist which makes semiconductors for computers, reported some stellar earnings last week, both earnings and revenues up, and the outlook extremely robust as a result of its association with artificial intelligence or AI chips. Yesterday, NVIDIA came out with some more news. It's announced it is building Israel's most powerful AI semi-computer and the numbers are astonishing. The system is called Israel-1. It's expected to deliver the performance of up to eight exaflops of AI computing. Now, what is an exaflop? Well, that's a good question. One exaflop has the ability to perform one billion-billion calculations per second. Now, the system will cost hundreds of millions of dollars and will be partly operational by the end of 2023. This will mean that Israel through this computer will be able to engage far quicker with AI computing and it will help extra elements. Share price chart Let's take a look at what's happening in NVIDIA stock as we speak all-sessions on the IG platform. This is early trade. We are very, very close to going to a new all-time high and I suspect we could well end up seeing this creep up, even as we speak. It is currently trading at $398.74. This is a candle here where you can see we've gone at the bottom and we're currently at the top. There are no sellers in this stock. And I predict that sometime today, we will see a new all-time record high. Last week, NVIDIA stock jumped more than 25%, or around about a quarter of its total value, on the back of its quarterly earnings. And you can see at the moment we are punching higher as we speak. So, NVIDIA very much the front and center of AI computing and it's benefiting this morning from that news in Israel.
