We'll see how many businesses survive this unnecessary shutdown and how many people are made unemployed. Stats on how long small business can last with no turnover at all do not bode well and as for the govt coming to the rescue, yes well ...

Based on antibody prevalence studies, @joeykrug and I calculated a new #COVID19 mortality rate for the US by age group in comparison to the seasonal flu. RESULTS: COVID-19 mortality rate is similar to that of the Flu for people under age 50.

so we're not actually saving any lives crashing the world economy but never mind, best we what for a vaccine, oh wait ...

Porton Down has been doing research into common cold (a corona virus which has no vaccination) for over 70 years. There is no vaccination for SARS There is no vaccination for MERS There has never been a vaccine for a #Coronavirus If we wait for a vaccine, we could wait forever. twitter.com/FensecLtd/stat…

YouTube goes into full censorship mode removing all content not in line with the official narrative.

"Don't listen to protestors; listen to the doctors! Wait.... not those doctors!!! Please Only listen to the Narrative Approved health professionals. Remember: The Ministry of Truth only wants to keep you Safe." Robert Barnes @Barnes_Law

50 minute video by 2 Drs with over 5 million views deleted by YouTube. They explained the virus is mild and very wide spread and that there is no evidence a lockdown of the healthy is beneficial and will in fact slow the gaining of herd immunity and lead to a second spike post lockdown.

I think this is one area, where we will have to be patient and see how the numbers play out.

The number of deaths is above average for several weeks. But the real picture needs more time to develop, are those deaths displaced from later in the year?

From the graph, it looks like we have circa 50k extra deaths over the last few weeks, so far this represents an 8% increase in the 600k annual death rate in the UK.

And from all this. Who actually has a trade to take advantage of their view, in either direction? (Please don't suggest buying an index and waiting 2 years!)

yes, as per the epidemiologist advisor the the Swedish govt pointed out (pic below reproduced from post above) the most vulnerable dying are the cause of the spike. The US chief medical officer said the same several weeks ago. Also associated deaths are now labeled covid if only a suspicion or if was asymptomatic but tested positive.

The healthy should never have been put into quarantine only the sick and vulnerable. There will be a second spike after end of lockdown until herd immunity which lockdown is just delaying.

Oil has the biggest potential as the world gets up and starts moving again but there is a possible trap for retail traders first. Listen to the podcast posted in the US Oil thread yesterday.

Just participated in a YouGov poll (and it gives your the results so far). 71% of people dont want to rush the ending of the lockdown and want to be cautious.

Choices were basically:

A) Be cautious, b) Start ending it now slowly, c) end it now.

Well the covid response has turned out a complete success.

YouGov polls show that the majority are now too afraid to even leave their homes. The police spend the day telling anyone out to stay indoors and issue fines and arresting non-compilers. Hospitals are so quite that nurses spend all day making TicToc dance videos, and with the economy in ruins no one can afford to get up to any mischief even if they wanted to.

Well done everyone, give yourselves a round of applause.

In spite of the medical profession's complicity by listing all deaths as caused by covid no matter what the real cause the annual deaths for this year look like being average in total and average for all the age groups.

So a massive increase in govt control over the individual and society at large at absolutely no extra cost, in fact the people are begging for it. The govt really couldn't have done it without your help.

Welcome to COVID 19 84.

Facts you won't find on the BBC;

In the US hospitalisation rates for the over 65s this year are similar to recent high influenza severity risk seasons while for the under 17 years it's much lower.

Sweden with no lockdown or business closures or the resulting collapse in their economy is no worse off than other countries. Belgium, who introduced hard lockdown very early (see past posts) has the worst record of all for deaths per million pop.

I now believe my original timeline of 2022/2023 being when the vaccine is deemed mandatory is too far away. I have reason to believe it will be sooner. Judging by the sheer number of useful idiots and useless idiots so eager to give up freedom for perceived security, it's happening sooner. Let all of them take the hit and the jab and the chip.

The very few seeing this as a scamdemic need to reorganise their life priorities. Transition over to trading the markets as your main income asap. Other measures need to start rolling.

Facts you won't find on the BBC.

The ridiculous modelling by 'scientists' and the resultant panic their doomsday outcomes caused verges on the criminal but at least it did make them feel important for a while. The ludicrous thing was that there where perfectly reliable actual stats already coming out of Taiwan, South Korea, Japan.

Typical are these figures from the US for the state of Florida. Projection vs Actual. The actual (hospital capacity and actual hospitalisations are the 2 lines running along the bottom.

But the best joke is yet to come, it looks like the UK govt is going to double down and make everyone wear a mask after the end of lockdown, you may as well put a clown hat on as well.

So as UK covid deaths reach 30,000 how actually is that number arrived at. Well just list all deaths as covid is one way. Earlier in posts above is reported some weeks ago that testing after death was no longer necessary in the US first then quickly followed by the UK, there just needed to be a suspicion of covid involvement, but things have moved on since then.

Many are coming onto twitter to complain a relative had covid put on the death certificate when they clearly didn't die of covid, here's one.

And from the US a  funeral director saying they are just writing covid on all the death certificates.

For all the clueless dimwits, there is real educational material on this site.

Also, just found out how cheap it was back then to pay off our beloved Matt Hancock to start the ball rolling. Even I can afford it.

Process this.

I think there is a big opportunity to make specific guaranteed longer term investments here.

    • Hi  For those interested in the Video Gaming industry we recently interviewed the product manager for VanEck Video Gaming & Esports ETF to talk about how the industry will perform as lockdown measures start to ease and what is fueling future growth https://blubrry.com/igtradingthemarkets/74972956/how-investors-can-profit-from-the-growing-video-gaming-and-esports-industry/   Are there any other exciting sectors you would like to see covered on the podcast by an industry expert?
    • Yes I am aware that I have selected the guaranteed stop level as I have been for a while in preparation for when the live account is approved, the live account will have to use a guaranteed stop on each trade, which I think is a good idea as it reduces exposure to risk and the margin required as it is a controlled risk as apposed to an uncapped or un controlled risk. Normally the stop limit on this trade is a minimum of 8 points, in this screen shot it it is set at 30 points which has increased the required margin to $1775, when it is at 8 or 10 the margin would be around $1300. If I set the stop to 139 points the margin will increase to $17,000 or more, obviously blocking the trade with a $10,000 account fund. Thank you for your suggestion,  however it isn't because I have selected a guaranteed stop as I normally do. having given this some thought, I guess if there is excessive price volatility / uncertainty, as there is when the price is at 1.39000 the system sets the GSL very high for protection, the price could easily run away, that being said if it was hit at 139 it would lead to a massive loss, maybe $7000.
