Oh, but he doesn't mention that around 48% of excess deaths this year were non-covid and were actually a result of govt policy caused by continuous rolling lockdowns and restriction of access to the health service.

Oh,

''Today’s shocking excess death figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show that we have not one, but two pandemics in the UK right now.''

''One is the Covid pandemic ...''

''The other is the hidden pandemic caused by Covid policies ...''

''The death toll shows the figures split almost evenly: around half of the total excess deaths for 2020 occurred in the home and showed little variation from summer to winter.''

If you're still listening to the bbc (or Sky for that matter) for news there's probably no hope for you.

Yesterday the bbc was screaming about biggest daily deaths or something, utter garbage. They were referring to reported deaths but did they explain it had nothing to do with date of occurrence?

Holidays, 5 day work week and other factors cause reporting lag, below is the list of those included in the 13/01/21 total stating when they actually died, one goes as far back as May 2020.

As usual, interesting and informative. In response to the question "Who gains", would the response be China?  They have certainly cleaned up in the Oil markets (mostly). Their economy has thrived where all others have failed. Honk Kong has been effectively silenced.

However, one must temper such rash conclusions with more sustained research. It is true the Dragon(China) has awoken and it's only foil; the Eagle (America) is eating itself, much to the  Dragons amusement.

The virus is also highly contagious,(as Corona viruses are) mutates like an X man and is randomly deadly to those who are aged, unfit, unwell or plain obese and very occasionally those who are not. But not in every case (my 92 year old grand mother in law, for example, who tested positive, had symptoms but miraculously got better). Go figure.

Respecting simple rules makes sense and I agree sustained Lockdown is bad for a nation's health (physical, mental, economic). Also agree our Government has proved themselves incompetent beyond measure, which begs the question of the competency of the electorate in general.  I remain moot on that point. However, if one were to re-examine the Spanish Flu of 1918-19 one can easily see the similarities. Including the second wave, which was worse than the first. Curiously enough we are experiencing a second wave which is worse than the first.

On the subject of vaccines and their ultra rapid development.  No vaccine has ever been developed as fast. We now have 5. In less than a year. Surely this was not just because of the multi billion dollar grants, kudos and vast profits to be accrued? Again more research would be required to ascertain what exactly happened and is happening.

Either way, from the pragmatic perspective there is plenty of opportunity and profits to be made in this scenario and at the least, one should take advantage of same said chance. Before the doodoo really hits the fan. Which I expect sometime around September, maybe before. Which will present more opportunities...

Stay well and good trading to you.

I just made a quick chart from the ONS weekly total deaths 2020 spreadsheet and there is no stand out 'second wave', the one that's been promised since September with the UK variant with 70% increased transmission or following that the deadly South African variant or the latest new deadly South American variant.

I can see numbers have crept up in a natural seasonal progression to match early Jan's normal winter increase but certainly no spikes after April.

Second waves are always worse in pandemics, if not lethal.

A virus needs to spread as much as possible to survive without being noticed so it needs to decrease its lethality to be able to infect more hosts.

A second wave is normally a mutation of the initial virus that has been resident in some weak individuals. That mutation is normally more effective in killing the host.

You can find a good example in the algorithm of the game Plague Inc. You can beat it almost every time if you decrease the lethality at the beginning and prepare mutations on subsequent waves.

The American virus (we prefer to give credit to the originators in Spain) did exactly that:

oh, most people would consider lethal as being worse than non-lethal I would of thought.

So we are all sat in lockdown for something that's now actually no more dangerous than a common cold.

Meanwhile of course lockdown is lethal and is killing 100 a day, not to mention the destruction of everything else.

Easy to see why the powers that be eg. PHE are now backtracking and talking about herd immunity and perhaps best if peeps just get on with life as covid doesn't really affect most people anyway (see interview several posts up).

This time of year 8,050 die each day in the US. What the States are contending is that on any given day 40% of all death in the US now is Covid. Yet CDC excess death is up only 10% during this same time. We cured 30% of our past causes of death. This is getting ridiculous.

Meanwhile France keeps pushing the envelope which is probably a fore runner to the UK as Boris, drunk on power, starts looking ahead, these tactics have worked so well for covid they are the obvious solution to climate change.

Saw a snippet on Sky news complaining that the Lateral Flow test must be faulty because it wasn't picking up as many positives as the PCR.

Quite an unbelievable misinterpretation of the data on the number of false positives made by the PCR.

Not surprising really as the fake positive numbers generated by the PCR are the only thing driving project fear and lockdowns.

Meanwhile, in order to stem the flow of staff needing to self isolate following a PCR false positive the NHS are switching to ...  er, the lateral flow test.

Deaths are not climbing commensurate with cases. Either COVID got less deadly (despite inc hospital admissions) or we have two measure a) a community positive rate off the charts with false positives b) a hospital rate (likely to inc some real COVID) which is at a steady state

image.thumb.png.2cab96ceecb289b2f0c4c5e05232ae17.png

clearly if you are under 70 you have nothing to fear from this virus and don't need a vaccine (unless you have other medical conditions that put you at greater risk). Especially a new untested type of vaccine (RNA gene manipulated), never before been given to the public and being falsely touted as a 'traditional' vaccine.

As with any historic pandemic those not at risk should be out and about acquiring herd immunity that will eventually protect everyone, in the meantime protect the vulnerable. As was the advice from epidemiologists right from the very start of this never ending farce before Ferguson and his magical mystery modellers took control.

Joe Biden  @JoeBiden

I know masks have become a partisan issue — but it’s a patriotic act. Experts say wearing a mask from now until April will save more than 50,000 lives.

In fact there is only one study done on public mask wearing and it clearly shows masks do not reduce transmission. (I posted this several weeks ago).

And don't forget all the 'experts' (WHO, Fauci, Vallance, Whitty et al) all said originally masks did not offer protection then changed their mind for political not scientific reasons.

The new govt attack on the Lateral Flow test as a replacement for the PCR that has a false positive rate of around 84% is being denounced as laughably unscientific. The govt clearly want the fake high numbers to bolster their project fear.

Will post more soon.

Quite confusing, the govt have on going testing for the Lateral Flow Test and like everything else that's not new vaccine appears to be going very slowly.

The govt seems concerned at a high rate of false positives from the LFT but in head to head trials the LFT was giving far less +ves than the PCR.

There is already clear data on LFT with a stated false positive rate of 0.32 if memory serves but there is none on the PCR because each lab makes up it's own rules. That's why it is not unusual to have one side of a country or county boarder with high cases while the other is low, viruses don't respect boarders but testing labs do.

    • As of now, Cardano (ADA) is priced at $0.3357. Despite recent challenges, experts believe the cryptocurrency has strong potential. According to their ADA price prediction, it could rise to $1 by the end of 2024 and reach an astonishing $10.32 by 2030. Recent Trading Performance Cardano has been trading lower than its earlier highs in 2024, with a recent closing price of $0.33. Fortunately, it has strong support at $0.20, which has helped prevent further declines. In the last few weeks, ADA saw a 5% increase since September. However, it experienced a 2.4% drop recently, partly due to large investors selling their holdings amid rising geopolitical tensions. Technical Analysis Technical indicators show a weakening bullish momentum for Cardano. Resistance has formed around the $0.40 mark, leading to a potential short-term pullback. Despite this bearish sentiment, a bullish breakout from a falling channel pattern has seen ADA rise 4.65% in the last 24 hours, breaking through the $0.35 resistance level. Future Predictions Looking ahead, analysts believe Cardano’s price could steadily rise to $0.81 by 2025. If this bullish trend continues, ADA might challenge the $0.489 Fibonacci level. While market volatility remains, this current consolidation phase could set the stage for significant gains in the future. In summary, despite recent fluctuations, the outlook for Cardano (ADA) remains positive. With strong support and potential for growth, investors will be watching closely to see how this cryptocurrency develops in the coming months.
