How do I open a trading account with NO leverage

I am looking to invest in equities and want to do it with my own funds, without having to depend on leverage etc.

Currently I have 20% leverage and I want to change that. Can you advise? I am unable to get a IG support representative on the phone.

Hi, you can trade stocks without leverage with a Share Dealing account rather than using a Spread Bet or CFD account. On a SB or CFD account you can use minimum leverage simply by trading with the lowest position size the platform will allow.

Hi Caseynotes, 

I tried this and do not have the option for Share Dealing on the myIG dashboard. Any ideas?

Hi, if it doesn't appear in the list under 'add an account' in your dashboard try the 'new account email address from the Contacts page (link at bottom of the IG welcome page. There will be some additional questions but as it's not leveraged will not be as troublesome as the application for the leveraged SB or CFD account.
