Is it possible to transfer shares from my IG Share Dealing Account to my IG ISA? If so, how do I go about doing this?

You can transfer shares from your share dealing account to ISA via the Bed & ISA process, which involves selling the shares and repurchase them on the ISA account. This process can be done over the phone with one of our dealers.

  •  Bed & ISA’s performed by IG can only be done on UK shares due to our Market Maker arrangement.
  •  Ensure the client is aware of the costs:
  • £40.00 Dealing fee
  • £30.00 Capped Spread
  • Stamp duty 0.5% if applicable
  • PTM levy £2.00 (If transfer value is over £10,000

This is per share line

Alternatively, you can sell the stock on your share dealing account and buy it back on your ISAI but please ensure that the you're aware of funds taking 2/3 working days to settle after the initial sale.
