Just a personal update... My son's school has effectively shut down as most of the pupils are working from home again (isolation) as the virus spreads through the school. 7 children in his year have tested positive, my son not, despite sitting next to one of the infected children in French and another in Music. So far most (5 of 7) of the cases have been asymptomatic. This has necessitated another Covid test for our home. (We are currently in Isolation by association 4.0) Again negative. It would appear the rate of infection is high, but with few actual cases that are not asymptomatic. Ma

Laughable, isn't it? You can't even get guide prices on-line from IG. Options are an ideal market for the retail punter but you can't obtain prices or easy access and thanks to ESMA/FCA rules you can't get proper margin off-setting between related long and short positions, so what could be a really good way for smart traders of limited means to use their funds efficiently now becomes an opaque market that would tie up most of your funds if you tried to do engineer anything remotely close to being risk-neutral.

How ridiculous it is that IG's own Josh Mahoney tipped Spot Palladium as the "Trade of the Week" on 30th November yet IG has had the market designated as "Closing Only" the whole time? Also, when certain spot markets are Closing Only why is this not indicated with a non-green traffic light next to the entry in the list of instruments and prices - it's really annoying to find out only after opening the ticket. The same goes for all the hundreds of now-untradeable ETFs.

@CharlotteIG And again! A video of an interview with the CEO of ScotGold was posted by IG only yesterday yet the market was and is currently "Closing Only". It is also listed with a rather misleading green traffic light.

There was another fork the other day - Bitcoin Latinum - the world's largest "insured" digital asset. One wonders if every time another variant is created it simply draws away potential investors from the original version. I don't actually know too much about the great reset plan and have never looked into it closely but those that have (Prince Charles, Justin Trudeau etc) all remark on what an opportunity Covid-19 is to get the plan moving so I remain suspicious. The covid numbers are unreliable and problematic, if you go into hospital having had a heart attack you will be tested for covid with the PCR test which is know to give a very high number of false positives. I'm sure IG have already seen this, but someone on twitter linked to this Policy Statement from the FCA, saying that it will come into effect on 6th January: https://www.fca.org.uk/publication/policy/ps20-10.pdf "Prohibiting the sale to retail clients of investment products that reference cryptoassets" Incidentally the trader on twitter who linked to that, was commenting on the recent drop in bitcoin and said "Crypto exchanges started announcing liquidation of UK customer accounts ..not surprising BTC sold off." Ben We weren't going to reveal this yet but yes IG and TradingView are going to be having a much deeper relationship and we look forward to IG being a broker you can trade with on TradingView Unfortunately we don't have a roll out date but are looking forward to making it available. All the best
