  2. This is totally unacceptable. When markets are extremely volatile, IG shuts down the system so can't execute any trades. Tried to call and just get cut off. LOST SO MUCH MONEY because of this. Anyone else thinks this is outrageous by IG?

  3. I resorted to screen recording all of my issues. I had no replies from email and chat was useless too. I've personally tagged Charlotte from IG into my questions but no longer get any replies. Maybe there is a Legit reason for this I don't know. What I do know is that for 2 years using either Demo OR Live EVERY SINGLE DAY, I can no longer count the amount of issues I've experienced with a decent amount of them actually costing me money for one reason or another. The last time I had Charlotte's attention she advised me to email support, which I did. They did eventually get back to me

  6. This is quite far of the mark i.e. missing facts to be inflammatory. Merck dropped development of their vaccine candidates, following phase 1 trials. Their finding (which will be published for peer review to stop try and stop nonsense such as the article posted here), showed that their candidate vaccines were not effective. The immune response was inferior to those seen following natural infection ***and those reported for other SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 vaccines.*** Merck are continuing to invest in covid related therapeutics.

  7. HI Same happening to me today . As I advised yesterday IG will only understand when there is a mass exodus of clients leaving the company. They delibrately do this to us because they know that there is no one to account for. Even the management of company looks like they are all Correpted and Dont listen to customers. I have already made arrangements to shipment my trades to Another Broker . Sooner everybody does the better . Good Luck

  11. In a significant bear day (all markets) it is reassuring that one is unable to trade.As we know, as day traders, time and speed are of the essence. Unfortunately, the IG platform has completely gone down. This is not the first time and I imagine the trading volumes are very high as there's chaos out there. The technicals all point down without even crazy crypto coin providing any green trades. Certainly on my watch lists. It was due. However, having one's hands tied whilst the ship sinks does somewhat impede ones ability to swim in the storm. Thanks IG.

Hi Guys I have been talking to CMC Markets in last few months and have already used their demo platform . it perfect and service appears to be good, I spoke to them today and they have no problem with their problem .IG has delibrately manipulated the platform today and i as a day trader have lost quite a lot . i will be definately signing up with cmc and also tonight at 8.15 the platform was again out , i could not deal on spread betting between 8.15 and 9.00 pm

  14. no, CFDs aren't 'quite different', spread bets are CFDs, spread bets are a legacy from the early days (1970s) when the whole ball game came under the Gaming (betting) Commission rules rather than the Financial Services Commission (FSC) rules. That keeps them in a different UK tax bracket which is why SBs are not available anywhere outside the UK. The tax bracketing is the only real difference between SBs and CFDs that I'm aware of but would be happy if someone could prove this is incorrect.

  15. Hi, A follow up if I may... If I set order level below current price I understand it will buy when price drops to that level, is this correct? If I set the level above the current price will it buy straight away? Might seem obvious but what should happen if I create order out of trading hours and the market starts above my order? Would it buy at the new start (as the system would understand my instruction to buy) or would it wait for market to drop then activate? Thanks Greg

  16. Hi guys, I currently have some shares (TSGI) sitting in a DRS with Computershare Canada. I've been told I need to move these shares to a broker before I can move them again to a platform like IG to start trading them. Does anyone have experience doing this or can point me in the direction to get started? I think the first step is finding a broker but no idea where to start even with this. Ideally I think I want a domestic broker in AU but not sure if this is advantageous vs an international broker considering my shares are Canadian.

  17. Can't even get through either via phone or online chat. So I am giving up on IG and will leave the worst review ever. Perhaps one technical glitch, but over the last 2 days the same issue and I have the same issue before with IG when there is high volatility. But this time I got thoroughly burned. On top of that, they created a phantom trade which I never did which lost me a lot on top of not being able to close positions.

  18. Usually IG does refund if the error is 100% theirs but often you need to provide yourself Screenshot and video... which is a little ridiculous. I'm now using a Desktop recoding tool every single time I trade with IG because last time there was an outage I couldn't close some long position I had which then endup being all negative. I had luckily took a video with my phone as a proof otherwise theyr would have not refund anything.
