If I sell a UK equity position after the ex-dividend date but before the payment date; the dividend payable is by rights, due to me. If I was to close my IG Share Dealing Account before the payment date, what will happen to the dividend when it is received by IG (on the payment date)? Will you automatically remit it to my registered bank account? Or should I wait until the payment date, manually withdraw the funds, and finally instruct you to close my Share Dealing Account at that point? Please advise.
