  1. @andysinclair, brilliant, looks good and easy to see at a glance what's going on. Always useful to have a gauge as to what the overall market situation is as to whether the feeling is for risk on or risk off but it's also useful to see which markets are moving and which are flat. If a market is active I'd expect it to continue to be active regardless of direction til proved otherwise and same for flat markets. So combine the two (active/flat & risk on/off) and you can narrow down particular markets of interest and likely direction.
  2. yes, on news re; China, the pattern of late has been for Dow to find support in London session before girding it's loins for a march onward in the US session but can't really expect too much today 🥳

  6. that's right and Chavez's Venezuela is a shining example of what Corbyn might achieve if only voters would give him a chance 🤔
  7. In an uptrend the initial play at the start of the day is more often than not for a check to see where support is, Dax thinks Dow has found it at 28050 and has started back up to find resistance. We need to keep an eye on Dow to make sure this is the case while watching Dax head back to the daily pivot.
  8. Britain Elects @britainelects These estimates include 100,319 interviews conducted over 7 days up to and including 26th November.
  9. Indices easing back over China threats of retaliation after Trump signs bill in support of HK protesters. US holiday today so probably a quiet afternoon.

  13. as well as the above you need to look at the difference between trading and investing and the difference in holding times and so the difference between Futures and Spot (Cash) contracts. You don't want to be holding Spot contracts and paying daily interest charges for long periods.
  14. So as usual expect continuation but keep an eye out for US GDP at 1:30. Below is this morning's SSI data and as usual retail clients are heavy short the S&P during this 2 month straight bull run. Keep hitting that Sell button guys, you never know one day you might be right though probability says that's unlikely, still, what's probability compared to hopes, dreams, fantasies and derangements. Some might suggest that rather than using well buttered TA to decide what you think the market SHOULD be doing and acting on it perhaps just wait and see what the market IS doing and act on that instead.
  15. Overnight and Indices continue to rise, Gold and Oil down and not sure what's happened to my Bonds list. Chart is S&P daily. Today at 1:30pm is US durable goods and prelim GDP annualised expected at 1.9%
  16. force open allows you to have two open trades in the same market going in opposite directions. If you choose net off instead then they will aggregate to either cancel each other out or leave you with just the one trade still active if the two trades were of different sizes.
  17. is that all, mine just says 'not enough history to view analytics' (as i'm using mt4).
  18. It's a beta, is yours an Australian account? may be trialing on uk accounts first.
  19. Should be in the 3 dots drop down box in your My IG page though if trading via mt4 will be inactive and doesn't look to be available for demo.

  23. Dow and S&P back up to the highs, that didn't take long. Ftse back up to the resistance level that has held since early Sept so let's see this time.
