I have just checked and the account is for the Live account. How do you add the MT4 to my demo account? This is like pulling teeth....lol.

Hi, I seem to have installed a MT4 account by adding the MT4 account from the relevant IG page as described below. I received a email with my password. I entered my IG log in details and the new password but my demo balance does not show in the MT4 terminal. I have just tried again and in the login bit it will only accept a number and not my user name. I have not received a login number. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi When I open more than one trade the profit / loss amount in the heading bar is totalling all the trades that are current at the time. Is there any way of just showing the profit / loss of just the work page I am currently viewing? I know I can go into positions and see the breakdown there but I would rather not have to. Also can a button be added to the work page that closes a trade in one click. Thx.

Hi, I am new to trading forex & the IG demo platform. When I place a trade risking only £10 I need a margin of £3300 ish. Is this due to leverage? If so can leverage be removed on the demo account? Also is there a good website I can look at for trade platforms for beginners. All I get when I search is things like What is Forex trading etc. I want to learn everything about the platform and why sometimes a trade goes past my limit by 3 candles but does not end the trade with a profit but then as soon as it gets near the stop loss closes out straight away...lol Cheers Matt

Thanks Anda Is there any record anywhere of my stop loss was or take profit i.e. is this not recorded anywhere? Looking at the chart at the time the trade ended the candle did not go past my entry point never mind my stop loss. Thx.

Hi, I am new to IG and FX trading so a bit confused. I placed my first trade last night. (demo account). I went long and the trade was going well. I went to bed and in the morning the trade had finished with a small loss but the trade had never come down to even past where I had ordered never mind my stop loss. Anyway my question is can you see your history on the chart so I can analyse where it went wrong? I no I can see history but can't seem to get it on the chart. Cheers. Matt
