Also to add to this question. How stupid is it that you can't use indices correctly. Want to display all Epics of the Dax or SP for example ? Well good **** luck. You can either have the epic for the etf which trades the complete indices or you can literally piece it together yourself because ig only has nodes for markets like nyse or xetra .

How do I find the epic of a specific list of tickers of US Stocks ? F.e I have a watchlist of stocks and I want to be able to call their respective data through the api. To do this I need the epics of said stocks. Why is it so complicated to find out the epics of these stocks ? this seems super inefficient to me. The only options are either to cycle through literally every epic on ig which would take for ever Or to "Log In to ig and find the epics through the developer console". There has to be an easier way. Why is there no option in the api to display epic from ticker name ??
