    Hi I bought a Gold PUT at an 1840 strike (Feb 23rd Expiry) that until this week was worthless. IG closed my position a week ago without so much as an email or a margin call (quite how a margin call is possible on an option is beyond my current comprehension. I couldn't lose any more money. This week Gold is falling and the 1840 PUT on the weekly is now trading in the money. The reason I refer to the weekly is because there is no longer a Gold monthly option, only April and this week. What happened to the Feb option? Why was my position closed? Do IG options expire a month before their listed expiry date? Michael
