According to the published fees by IG Markets the spread variies depending on the hours of trading. When you backtest in MT4 - which setting do you choose for the spread? Default/active - or you set it to the max spread according to https://www.ig.com/de/hilfe-und-support/cfds/kosten-und-gebuehren ???

I would like to start with "Shark Scalper Pro" Link https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/45892#!tab=tab_p_overview The author claims that you can use it in the free version 1:1 on the EURUSD 5min chart. BUT when I run the strategy tester with IG DEMO in MT4 - I get no results? Looks like there is not enough historic data to backtest. Then I switched to 15min EURUSD and here the backtest looks ok - but less than 100 trades. Anyway, active since this morning on IG DEMO. Waiting for the results. Update follows.

Dear all I just started to explore Metatrader 4 and it's endless possibilities to extend the platform with indicators and trading robots (aka expert advisors). What I figured out so far is, that you cannot 100% rely on the backtesting results of most of the EA - because they use another dataset of historical data. Well, I open this thread to have an exchange with you about promising EA in collaboration with IG accounts. Please DO NOT advertise here for other EA. Looking forward for your inputs. thanks.
