  1. Hi all, I noticed that the Top40 spiked by about 789 points at 16:52:06, a high of 47468 and closed back to 46679. Maybe I do not understand it properly, hence my question. If it is possible that the top40 can make such a huge jump in 1 second and return to its previous position, what would the effect be if I had (and fortunately I did not), limits or stops set within that range? Would it have triggered and closed my positions? Afterwards I checked the prices of approximately 25 of the top40 constituents (the largest contributors) and can not see any huge moves in their prices that could have triggered such a spike...? If it was not the constituents that caused the spike then what was it? Please help....
