  1. Yes, my Excel Add-in can provide upto 360 days of data, as per the API. The only restriction is that IG only allow 10,000 data points to be downloaded per week, so you would need to do it in batches. Otherwise you can contact them and they can increase you quota - I have done this and now have a much larger quota. I hope this helps.
  2. Which calls are not working? I have been using it this morning for live prices, watchlists and account data - all working fine for me (with my live account, haven't tried demo). If you have time post some code here and I'll try to see if there is something in your code which could be causing a problem.

  14. It's been working fine for several years now with only a few occasions where there was an issue (usually during times of high market volatility which seems to affect all IG systems). My Add-in is a paid product, with a free trial period. I do provide full support and have many customers using it for both streaming and non-streaming data. As for the technical side, it is written in C# and uses the Lightstreamer component: DotNetClient_N2.dll
  15. I've built an Excel Add-in which includes access to streaming IG prices. It has been working fine for the past few months, apart for a period in February when there were some problems with the API. I use it every day on both a Windows 10 and Windows 11 machine, for both my demo and live IG accounts. If your demo account does stop working (which happened to me) then you need to contact IG and they will reset your demo account. I hope this helps.
  16. I've spent some time researching spread trading, and like you say the IG website does not really provide the tools to do this. I therefore do all my research in Excel. I've built some rolling live spread charts, as well as some models with streaming prices using my own Excel Add-in: https://www.excelpricefeed.com/ For example, I have a live updating rolling chart of the spread between Brent and WTI like this: Cheers, Andy
  17. Hi @MongiIG, Looking forward to reading the first newsletter, it's a great idea! I have been an IG client for 20+ years and I am a software developer. Could I suggest a topic/post for the newsletter? I have built some software which I use everyday with my IG account to keep track of the market, my positions, my trade history as well as help me generate and test trading ideas. The software is an Excel Add-in: https://www.excelpricefeed.com/ I have a built something that many IG clients are using and I think it would be great if more clients could find out about my software. I can write a post for the newsletter about how my software is used by clients to assist with and improve their trading. I hope this is suitable material for the newsletter. Cheers, Andrew Sinclair Coderun Technologies Ltd
  18. Germany, i.e. DEutschland It means the stock as quoted on the German Stock Exchange.
  19. That will be the spread, i.e. the difference between the buy and sell price. On opening a trade it will immediately show a loss until the price moves in your favour to cover the spread.
  20. I'm afraid it's PC only at the moment. Otherwise, If you have Parallels you can run it on the PC version of Excel on your Mac.
  21. Hi David, I have built an Excel Add-in which makes it very easy to get IG historical data, including hourly data, into an Excel spreadsheet. You can download it from here: https://www.excelpricefeed.com/userguide/download And here are instructions on how to set it up for IG: https://www.excelpricefeed.com/userguide/account-setup-ig-index Let me know how you get on or if you need any help. Andy
  22. If you are using an iPhone then you need to check if mobile data is enabled for the IG app. Check in Settings->Mobile Data and make sure the switch is "on" for "IG Trading". I've no idea what the equivalent setting is on Android.
  23. Streaming hasn't been working in my Excel product (https://www.excelpricefeed.com/) which uses the IG API for several weeks now. However, I have just tried this morning and it is working on both demo and live, I have not changed any of my streaming code (C# with the DotNetClient_N2.dll) for several months. I have just contacted IG API support, will post back here when they respond.
  24. Hi, I'm a software developer with a finance/markets background with lots of experience working with the IG API (haven't used PRT yet). You can email me at: ************** with your requirements spec. and I can send you my thoughts (couldn't find how to private message you, not sure it's even possible on this forum?). Cheers, Andy
  25. Hi, I've built an Excel Add-in which provides full access to IG sentiment data, both live and historical (for most major markets). We collect sentiment data ourselves on an hourly basis and make it available via the Add-in. You can download data on-demand via the Add-in, or use the Excel formulas that it provides: https://www.excelpricefeed.com/userguide/historical-client-sentiment-data-download-ig-index I hope this helps. Andy
