  1. Hi, If you are shorting a foreign share in the US or Canada, please can someone let me know how I account for currency risk? Let's use a rough example of a share valued at 10,000, shorting for £1 a point. Say GBP/CAD is 1.33 now & it goes to 1.5 or 1.2 for example. If the contract is March 2020, there is obviously some pretty large currency risk involved. IG allows one to purchase in GBP or the foreign currency, so does that help? If not, what is the most simple way to totally remove the currncy fluctuations in this period. Thanks for any help on this 🙂

  3. Hi, Are there any US Dollar currency ETF's (vs a basket of currencies) to invest in from the UK? It isnt't possible with the Invesco Bullish USD ETF? Otherwise, can anyone tell me my best bet - just tracking the USD vs global currencies or the USD index basically? Thanks in advance for any help!
  4. OK, so you can't trade in a non-ISA ETF (tried, but trade never executes & definitely not in ISA as you say) Do you think you can only trade in it in CFD/spreads?
  5. I am looking at various ETF's, originally wanting to invest in Elements Rogers Commodity index RJI & the others being RJA, RJZ, RJN & BIKR ETF's. IG has only updated to include the RJA, but it says 'Call to trade' since they added it recently. Apparently, it's difficult to trade in these ETf's from the UK. They also have Market Access ones linked to the RICI in the ETF screener I was happy to look at, but which are not available in the platform itself. I want to know if it's ok to trade at least the RJA as an ETF, within an ISA or outside? Also, I cannot trade in IShares Silver Trust (All sessions) & Bloomberg Series B Sugar & various other ETF's that are traded? Is this a problem with a new account, or something to do with it being outside of UK trading hours & not UK ETF's? Order is rejected or get other trade error messages. I cannot seem to buy TenCent, Baidu, Alibaba shares from China either, which was a possibility, are these not possible on IG (& elsewhere?) I am looking to build a portfolio of Commodity ETF's, mainly linked to the Rogers index, rather than the Bloomberg or DB/S & P ones etc. & individual commodity ETF's as well as emerging market ETF's & some individual stocks (none from the UK). Am I missing something? Any help much appreciated, thanks
