Hi @CharlotteIG, sorry, I forgot to link you into the reply above. If you could kindly add the ticker it would be much appreciated. I can also obtain the professional designation if necessary.

    Many thanks!

    Hey,

Amazing. I will get that added to all non-lev accounts but if you're a UK client you will have to have pro status to trade them.

Sorry for the newbie question but I’ve had this sell limit order active all morning with the live price bouncing both sides of my level price. What am I missing?

    It won’t sell

    Hey,

From what I can see everything has been done correctly and you've made it an all sessions order which means it will work in the pre, main and post market sessions.

In the page it says we executte the trade from 12pm for share dealing which is what I believe is the issue here.

If not please do reach out.

    Hi IG team,

I am an IB, and I want to have trade in your platform. Because your platform is different from traditional MT4/ MT5 platforms, I have some questions to confirm with you.
    1. Can I trade, withdraw, or deposit in the weekend? If yes, For all symbols or some special symbols?
    2. What is your rebate policy? Will you give any credit? Or some promotion? Any limitation?
    3. If there is a price problem, can I get support 24 hours? Or will you monitor the stability of the price?
    4. Is there a maximum symbols or maximum orders limit for each account?
    5. Is there a maximum slippage limit when execution?
    6. For limit orders, do you have a guarantee there is no negative slippage? Or executed by market price?
    7. Where are your main servers located? What’s your average execution speed? Does average execution speed stay the same for different types of symbols?
    8. Is there anything you can do to improve access speed and stability?
    9. Can your trading system place orders through API? What criteria need to be met?
    10. Can your trading system place orders through auto EA? Any limit for EA? Is there any limitation for place orders frequency? What’s the maximum number of positions?
    11. Where does the VPS need to be located with minimal latency?

Hope to receiving from you soon.

    Best Regards,

    Gary

    Hi

can someone help why my book cost for a certain trade is missing and showing as £0?

I went to see my trade history to check my book cost but there also the share is showing as corporate action rather than standard "Trade". it was all ok until a month or so, it seems platform has done some messedup and then reinserted my trade but not properly .

Just as @BigDeal mentioned, if there's a corporate action on stock the CA will be executed and the booking cost goes to 0. You can call us and ask for it to be adjusted (if you aren't aware of which corporate action happened and how to adjust the price I would suggest calling us).

If you're aware of why it changed and you know what the booking cost should be you can do it yourself on the platform: https://www.ig.com/uk/help-and-support/investments/share-dealing-and-isas/how-do-i-edit-my-book-cost

The reason we don't adjust the book cost ourselves is some people like to incorporate the commission cost, others prefer to have the exact adjustment.

Using spread betting does NOT include BORROWING a share! The used does not own the underlying stock neither the broker borrows and sell such. Could you explain than why is this borrowing fee . The explanation you provided above is wrong as both spread .. and CFD doesn’t required real asset involvement . It’s just a gambling

    Hey,

You're correct leveraged trading doesn't mean you're hedging in the underlying but we have to hedge client positions so it is a charge we pass on.

What we're offering is trading as if you're in the underlying and the profits/ losses follow that and you only have to put down a percentage of the market value. However if you were in the underlying you would pay that fee and as we're hedging in the underlying we pass on those fees.

We're not a broker that hopes our clients lose. We hedge our exposure and borrow costs we take on are passed to the traders with open positions in that market.

I have an existing account, but it’s not on the MT4?  Possible to request to do a transfer?  Any charges? Or I have to withdrawal and rede posit again?  BTW, will there be additional charges of using the MT4 account? Many Thanks!

    Hey,

There's no additional fees for the MT4 account. You can simply open on from your dashboard.

Unfortunately we can't move your positions across to MT4 you will have to close and reopen them. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I am trying to buy Mind Medicine (MindMed) Inc .... Is it showing on th IG site, as I can not see it.

Sorry if this a naive question but I am new to this!

    Hey,

    Thanks for your post.

Mind Medicine trades on the US exchange so opening hours are 14:30-21:00 UK time.

This isn't an all sessions product meaning you will not be able to place an order in the pre or post market unless you call us (but be mindful of the phone dealing charges if this is a route you want to take.

Help. I am first time share dealer, i am slightly confused at the two price at the top of the screen, which is the price i would be buying the shares at? I.e. 14.25 on the left and 15.91 on the right

    Hey,

The price on the left is the sell price and the price on the right is the buy price. They're the current best prices in the markets.

With share dealing it's slightly different than leveraged trading. There are different order types to use and sometimes those can have partial or no fills through out the day. I would suggest if you're making your first trade to call us and get a step by step break down of all the order types, ideally before you see the perfect price so you understand all the different types of orders.

If I look at the chart for Gold, it is updating as expected, however if I look at the chart for say TSLA or AAPL, the price indicator on the far right moves at what ever the current price is but there are no candles being drawn live. Its like its just stuck and It doesn't seem to matter what ticker time scale I have set.

This doesn't appear to be a browser "Flash" issue as Gold and USD/AUD charts are functioning fine.

Same problem here since yesterday. Only using spreadbetting demo account. Does this happen often?

    Hey All,

It is something that I've seen on share charts before. I believe it has something to do with the derived price feed because it looks like that sometimes and does not contain volume and the most recent x15 minute candles are derived pricing and  anything older would be live pricing which is why volume would show on candles older than 15 minutes.

Our technical team have created an incident to get this sorted but if you ever have to call and reference it you can using this code: INC0469943.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  11. Risk event of the week starting 26 April: EUR/USD

With the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee meeting coming up, and the rate announcement at 7pm UK on Wednesday, IGTV’s Jeremy Naylor speaks with Justin McQueen from Daily FX. Is there further upside for the EUR/USD trade?

I have opened my trading account and an ISA. Each account has its own account number. I can’t see how to transfer some of the money in my trading account over to my isa?? It’s well under the £20k annual limit...any ideas??

    Hey,

You can do this on the MyIG page by selecting Live accounts> Transfer funds. If this transfer if from a share dealing account you may have to wait 2/3 working days after you've sold stock before you can transfer due to the settlement period.

    Dear @CharlotteIG,

Could you kindly add Horizon Kinetics Inflation Beneficiaries ETF ("NYSE:INFL") in order for it to be tradable in SIPP/ISAs/Share Dealing?

The CUSIP is 53656F623, the ISIN is US53656F6236.

    Many thanks!

    Hey,

I've spoken to our shares desk and :

We can set this up but it won’t be ISA eligible (as it’s US listed) and won’t be suitable for ESMA retail.

So if you're either pro or non ESMA you will be able to trade it. Let me know if you are pro as we can still go ahead.

If you can find a UK/EU listed equivalent it will be suitable for almost anyone.

    Hey,

    Thanks for your post.

Individual and corporate accounts are different things so if you want a corporate account you will have to apply for one. You can find the application here: https://www.ig.com/uk/corporate-accounts

Sorry for the inconvenience but I hope this helps.

    Hi @CharlotteIG,

I have the same question regarding PensionBee IPO settlement time. Customer IPO application deadline is today. How long will it take to settle into IG stockbroking account and will it be possible to trade "grey" / "when issued" once we know our allocations? PensionBee IPO is on the same PrimaryBid platform as Deliveroo was - did anyone successfully trade that on or before issue day of 26th April? Is there much interest in trading PensionBee amongst IG community?

    Thanks

We can't confirm settlement dates at this time. Once the subscription is completed, PrimaryBid will send us a list of relevant traders to be checked and a settlement date will be agreed on then, to send the shares over to us. Also, we will not be offering a grey market on PensionBee. Clients subscribing to the IPO through PrimaryBid will only be able to trade once their shares settle on their IG share dealing account. I hope this helps clarify.

TRADING GERMANY30. WHEN I  PUT ORDER LEVEL ON DEAL TICKET AND PLACE ORDER I GET MESSAGE. IM TOO CLOSE TO CURRENT MARKET LEVEL. MINIMUM DISTANCE FOR THIS MARKET IS 300 POINTS . YET IF I USE DEAL TICKET IT PLACES ORDER IMMEDIATELY. I WISH TO CHOOSE WHAT LEVEL I  COME IN AT SO IM PRECLUDED FROM DOING SO. I WOULD WELCOME ADVICE.

    Hey,

When placing orders you can be hit with slippage. We assess the markets and change the orders minimum distance based on the volatility of that market. If for example you put the order to open 10pts away but then it's volatile and the market gaps 100 pts we will fill you there because slippage can happen with orders to open. We do it to protect people so they're aware of volatility.

Apologies for the inconvenience but it's something our exposure and risk team constantly assess.

    Hi

I am relatively new to ISA investing. The last year (ISA year 2020-2021), I opened my ISA and invested £20k. One of my share picks has done exceptionally well, and I now sit at a profit of £30k.

If I were to sell my investment and realise the profit, I understand that it would be tax-free; however, if I chose to reinvest that money into the same or different company, would my investment go towards my ISA 2021-2022 allowance?

The reason I want to make sure is the company that I invested in has taken a dip recently, and I wanted to know how best to sell and if the price was to fall further rebuy the shares as it has strong long term potential.

    Thanks

    Mez

    Hey @mel12345uk

Great news about the investment :D

We track the money and stock you put into your account every tax year. You will be able to sell the stock and buy more stock with it and we will know it's part of your 2020/21 bracket. It will not impact your 2021/22 ISA.

I hope this puts your mind at ease :)

    Dear users
    my name is Tina (76).
I would like to know the following.
my husband passed away 2 weeks ago.
in 2011 he bought for 750 dollars somthing called btc.

I would like to know if these are still around the same value, because I need this money to pay for his funeral.

    Hey Tina ( @Lady1945)

I'm so sorry for your loss.

If you had joint access for the IG trading account you can call us and if you want us to close any open positions we can assist you over the phone.

If it was your husbands account you will need to email us at helpdesk.uk@ig.com with your husbands will, death certificate, bank statement for executor's account we'd remit funds to. If the amount is over £500 with us then we'd also need grant of probate to release the funds. This needs to be sent to helpdesk.uk@ig.com. If you aren't able to provide all of this send what you can and request a call back to we can try and make it as easy for you as possible.

    All the best,

    Charlotte
