  9. It will be impossible to test for all traders because you get so many different vpn's, it would also depend on which country the vps is set to. When traders created the vps it was most likely not tested on a vpn. It you're really struggling, I would advise calling us in case there's a quick fix but we don't give vpn support generally. Sorry about that.
  10. (Headline from BBC) British Airways suspends flights to and from China. What will happen when the market opens? Will it take a dive due to cutting out routes or will traders see this as a productive step to keep people safe? What do you think?
  11. There is a project looking to make this available on the platform but we don't have a deadline date yet. When we do, I will let you know
  12. Thanks for your message. I will check this with the technical team and get back to you. Thanks for letting me know. I will get back to you as quick as possible.
  13. With all market, except CFD equity options, we still take spread so we would happily have clients trade options With CFD equity options we charge commission. The reason we don't offer it for every market is there's not as much demand and we have to buy/ sell these in the underlying every time someone trades. Meaning, if it's something that hardly anyone is buying we would have to go out a buy/ sell very small positions.
  14. Proteon Therapeutics Inc is having a consolidation, meaning you will be holding less shares but you should see the price change to a much larger number. So you will get 1 for every 40 shares you held. The market is currently phone dealing only because there's also been a ticker change, which is dealing desk need to change on the back end. Once this is changed you will be able to trade the shares online again. I hope this helps.
  15. @dmedin- leadiind from your comment Big downward movement today, are we thinking there's move bearish movement to come, or are you buying the dip... I've just looked at indices overall but what are you tracking?
  16. We're not offering calls and puts on non-leveraged accounts. When you buy calls/ puts they have limited risk on the leveraged platforms.
  17. We're hoping to roll the new share dealing account out beginning of February. This will have a similar layout to the new Spread betting and CFD accounts you see today.

  19. Hey @dmedin, this is a very good questions and one I believe a few people on community may want to hear the answer to. When you call to deal a position will appear on your positions tab. You will see that it's set to phone dealing only, you will have to call us to close it for you. The position will reflect profit/ loss so before you call you're able to check. The position will not have a chart linked to it. I hope this helps.
  20. You can find a list of the providers we use by following this link: https://www.ig.com/usermanagement/customeragreements?igCompany=iggb&agreementType=execution_venues&locale=en_GB Depending on how others price their markets they may have slightly different pricing.
  21. I just spoke with the desk and the price move was legitimate. We use 12 currency providers to provide the best bid and offer for clients. I wouldn't be able to comment on any other FX brokers pricing but that's how we price our FX markets. The was some volatility because UK PMI numbers were out at 9:30 GMT.
  22. If you were holding a short position, you would have been close out at 9:30 GMT time as the price high at the time was 1.19245. The price was legitimate there with the 12 price providers we use.
  23. Thought I'd open a new forum up, now the general elections done. Josh Warner had written a great informative piece about the events over the next year: https://www.ig.com/uk/news-and-trade-ideas/where-next-for-brexit--200124 Brexit timeline What is Brexit? What should investors look out for Formal negotiations begin: March 2020 EU summit: June 2020 Make or break: 26 November 2020 Deal or no deal: 31 December 2020 What about the UK’s trade with non-EU countries? Let me know what you think. If you want any videos or articles on anything specific to help your trading let me know
