Knowing pre-opening order/buy level

Krugerrand posted a question in IG Trading Support - Dealing Questions

How can I know what the minimum pre-opening buy prices are? I want to be able to buy a stock that will open, say, up 40% (common with small cap mining stocks) & hence don't want to put in a bid of only 5% up (on previous day close). Or is there no way of knowing until the first day's trade is transacted?
