What exactly qualifies an ETF to be held within an ISA? The IG ETF screener seems to suggest that there are no ETFs available! Do I need to look for a different provider?

I've tried Yahoo Money, Stockopedia and the like - but none of them can manage shorts held within my spreadbetting accounts. Any recommendations for accessible and reasonably priced portfolio tracker software which can include both traditional share trading and spread betting? Many thanks u_e
