on IG, am I forced to trade with a huge margin?

Hello, I've been trying to place a trade (USD/KRW), the smalllest possible trade that I can put on (minimum possible allowed loss) asks me to have 2500EUR in my account. Am I Missing something? If not then why is the minimum deposit $300 if you need to have at least $3000 in your account to actually place the trade? or is there anywhere that I can lower the margin? Thanks.
