I bought some shares which are rising nicely and I wanted to place a good till cancelled limit order. If I place a day limit order, the order is generated immediately If I place a good till cancelled order it is automatically cancelled immediately Given that the same data is used except for the day/good till cancelled is exactly the same, can someone help me understand why this is?
