MT4 Demo account connection

Hi I am completely new to MT4 and investing in general and have just singed up to IG in the last hour, so please excuse me if I ask a stupid question. I've just downloaded MT4 and have logged into a demo account. However when I open the account the Market Watch time is stuck at 21:59:33 and is not moving. My connection in the bottom right hand corner of the screen is live but only showing 13/2 kb. Am i doing something wrong? I've tried reopening MT4 several times but its still the same. My internet at home is plenty fast enough, its 30mb. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
