The tech team at IG are pretty hopeless. They have never fixed anything reported and never get back to you! Its been this way for years!
  2. You give up with IG on crypto, the service is absolutely conscious incompetance! Failing feeds, no feed at all, and then HUGE stop requirements when something appears. Obvious B booking this.
  3. MT5 - Really!!!! I guess no one has tried Prorealtime (PRT). Blows the socks off all MT systems and is offered by IF free if you trade a couple of times a month. One look at PRT will make you turn your back on MT systems that should be in the grave at last! Try it - get a demo version its laready integrated into IG.....
  4. The IG Demo account does not represent the live market at all with different spreads; also, slippage is a common occurrence. I have tackled IG many times on this, and the result has been that the demo offering is for testing and is not supported like a live account. Sorry for the dim news, but this is a reality. Also, I recommend that you do not use PRT V12, as this makes things even worse! Its best to start on a small real account until your confidence builds.
  5. Trading is simple Let me clarify - Learning a strategy that works more often than not is easy to find and learn. The problematic side is learning to manage and keep your emotions in check. In my trading group, I have developed a system for managing emotions mindset and developing great habits as a trader. You can have this for free, no catches – so long as it helps. Just to be, I run a live trading room where all trades are done live and recorded, and we all use this, and it works. No obligation. It's yours for free – I hope this helps you. Here is the link to get it, as IG doesn't allow PDF's: Link: https://harkoltd.com/collections/useful/products/the-importance-of-emotional-intelligence Don't worry, no pitches at all. If I can quickly help, then I will. Feel free to ask any questions on your journey. Regards, Steve
  6. I am afraid not. IG makes a 24 hour market. It recently introduced a pivots tools through PRT but this is not accurate as it not cash hours, including actual closing proce etc.. If you use a PRT I have an algo which identifies of the key pivots and gaps and work on PRT. Happy to send it to you if that helps? Steve
  7. Hi, Very late coming to this post. I just wanted to say that if you do follow IG signals then you WILL empty you account. At best they are only a guide and in my experience are idealistic and really setup. You really need to learn a strategy or two and then just rinse and repeat. This thing you have to mater is your emotions in trading and learn to follow a plan and pattern - its the only way. I have attched a guide on this matter. Hope this helps. Its is a PDF file which IG dont allow!! but totally free to anyone. Finff it here: https://harkoltd.com/collections/useful/products/the-importance-of-emotional-intelligence

  9. Yes, I trade options on Gold Silver DOW US500
  10. You can do one of two things use a 1-minute chart, your entry is the blue line identifying entry level and time. Identify where the blue line starts and read down in the timeline to identify which minute it was triggered. if you want a super accurate entry time go to history and download the daily trades as a CSV file, and it will tell you to the second when you entered the trade. regards, Steve
  11. This known problem has been reported multiple times, yet IG are unwilling or unable to fix it. The general response is "Just use IG", not PRT. If something goes wrong with a trade taken using PRT, IG refuses to take responsibility as it is a third-party software, and you sign away any writes (in the small print) in any errors between PRT and IG. I run a live trading room, and we have seen such errors many times with hundreds of trades. It seems best to check trades in both directions just to be safe.
  12. Apologies for the delay. I don't really use this. You can follow finf me on PRT, https://www.prorealcode.com/user/smpaxton/?view=posts Happy to answer all you questions, I am a power user and tester on PRT and write many bots as well as run a trading group where we use all the PRT functions to screen trades so PRT finds the trades for use so we can trade or let the bots trade for us. Steve
  13. It may be better effort sorting out PRT V11 first as its got many bugs!
  14. Hi Nickodemus, Yes you can do both with a small amount of code. You can also limit the amount trades and risk the algo can do in a given period. I code many algo's and use them on a daily basis so happy to help if you haven't already sort. It is best to use the PRT community as this is where all the cders reside. DM me on that and I am happy to share some code. Steve
