  1. Hi, regardless of what anyone else might say on a blog if you are subscribed to the trading messages stream you should see confirmations of your trades. We have had other users in the forum pointing the same problem. The problem was always related to the demo account. Looking at what others have said I think that the demo account sometimes is not reliable regarding these messages. I never saw anyone complaining about the live account.

  2. For those who always say: "the markets quickly act against me, every time I open a position"

Stop using technical analysis. Specially if it is provided by your broker. They are lagging indicators and they always give signals that are late to the action.

Of course the market will act against you, your entries are late.

  3. I just wanted to contribute to this research thread by saying that many YouTubers are claiming to have metallic components injected into their bodies through Covid vaccines. They prove the claim by using magnets on their bodies. Those magnets stick to their skins as a result of being vaccinated. Please bring a magnet to your second vaccination shot as a countermeasure.

I hope that I am up to the level of this thread with my post.

Fauci is responsible for it as well.

  4. We all have been reading Caseynotes attempts of misinformation for months. Many of the posts that have been part of this forum show a clear political orientation, mainly directed to undermine the Chinese government in this pandemic.

It is clear how many attempts are coming from the United States and its propaganda in order to take political advantage of a global crisis. Caseynotes being an American is part of that propaganda.

If we look at current conflicts around the world, the United States are running out of wars. We all know how hard they try to start conflicts outside their lands with the usual aim to maintain their weak currency.

Currently they are working really hard to start two conflicts, one over the Sahara region in Morocco against Spain, with a consequent trigger into the European Union, and the second being directed to Taiwan as another attempt to undermine the Chinese position in the world.

The best way to not to shallow this propaganda is to be informed. And for that purpose we need to challenge any attempt of misinformation.

This link provides a set of guides an resources to check facts.

Feel free to use it with any of the claims that Caseynotes has been spreading over months.

Let's remember some of the claims that have been said/done in this forum:

    - Label the virus as Wuflu in the thread title. Thankfully administrators changed the name to something less insulting.

    - Bill gates started this pandemic with a clear attempt to inject nanorobots in our bodies through a vaccine so he can control us.

    - Constant Twitter screenshots an memes to enforce a right wing political orientation, most of them used as 'source' of information.

    - Never ending attacks to the Chinese government and its position in the pandemic.

    - Fauci is the ****. He is responsible for everything. Up to a point that he was working for a secret Chinese lab in order to produce the virus.

    - Made up charts and tables with fake information. Many users have challenged that data multiple times.

    - Constant insults to anyone that tries to challenge a post. Just watch closely and you will see the narrative. It repeats over and over again.

Previous 'Wuflu and the economy' thread was so full of nonsense that the administrators had to remove it taking away many of the claims.

Caseynotes will repeat them again. One way or another it always leads to the same direction.

You have missed the point entirely but you tend to do that deliberately in order to deflect and detract from the actual evidence that you don't like the look of.

The peer reviewed study about to be published contains actual evidence. Unless you are a PhD with evidence that refutes that contained within the study you are wasting your time and ignoring the real 'science'.

Your out of date Nature op eds are not relevant and can't contradict actual research data discovered by the scientists working on the actual virus.

By the way the WHO report was laughed at as the Chinese openly refused full co-operation at the time.

I understand that you are not reading anything I add and you prefer to base your comments on your political opinion.

The peer reviewed research paper the Daily Mail article refers to is not an allegation, it's presenting evidence following an investigation into the molecular makeup of the virus by 2 well qualified scientists that concludes the virus is man made and shows sign of reverse engineering attempting to disguise the fact that it was man made.

So your uninformed opinion is not needed, you don't even try to counter the evidence but instead just try to deflect attention away from it, yeah well I'll take the research paper over your opinion any day.

I don't think that I have an uninformed opinion.

Let me copy again the same link as well as a few more supporting documents.

I know you prefer to make up your own sentences as well as copy screenshots from right wing Twitter accounts. We are used to that, but I prefer to read from scientists journals like nature.com. They link to the original documents (linked in this post) and they don't make any political comments on it.

They help me to get an informed opinion based on official documents and I just want to share them so it is clear what is going on.

As usual, when you don't like the message you just abuse the messenger without ever realising it just makes you look a complete idiot.

If you don't like the conclusions of the research paper by the Dutch and UK scientists take it up with them. I'm sure once you've explained your objections and put them straight they'll be happy to amend their conclusions, or just tell you to FO because you're a complete idiot.

I know which outcome I'd put my money on.

MSM are running for the exits with the Washington Post yesterday joining Facebook in retracting their claim the lab leak theory was baseless.

Once Fauci himself through in the towel the flag went up that real evidence of a Wuhan lab leak was on it's way and so it proved.

You don't need to insult. Think about your reputation in this forum. You have a fan base to maintain.

As usual when someone sends a reliable source that buries 50 or 60 of your posts you are quick to reply with 3 o 4 more. Just hoping no one would read a proper source and would keep paying attention to your Twitter screenshots.

Chinese scientists created COVID-19 in a lab and then tried to cover their tracks, new study claims | Daily Mail Online

Not to mention the recent MSM news reports from UK and US govt intel sources that the theory of a lab leak is more than credible.

Fauci's NIH  'gain of function' research is on record as is the banning of it in the US in 2017, as is Fauci and Gates's subsequent grants to the Wuhan lab to continue research into coronaviruses.

The WHO's sudden change of recommendation from their pandemic plan of 2016 updated in 2019 (protect the vulnerable) to lockdown the healthy is public knowledge.

The date of completion of sequencing of the virus is public knowledge as is the date of the vaccine rollout.

You really don't keep up at all do you but are happy just sucking on the teat that is BBC/Sky news, you should get out more.

    Update on the Chinese Virus.

    So recently we have learnt that;

    - in 2017 the Chinese military produced a document suggesting development of a bat coronavirus converted to infect humans to be used on an enemy to overwhelm their medical facilities.

    - in 2017 Fauci's NIH were banned from further research in making bat coronaviruses more transmissible in humans (gain of function).

    - in 2017 Fauci granted the Wuhan lab in China $600,000 for research. The Chinese military also uses the Wuhan lab for research.

    - in 2019 a new highly transmissible coronavirus with no known natural ancestor was discovered in Wuhan. The Chinese govt immediately ordered a lockdown to prevent medical facilities being overwhelmed.

    - the WHO immediately abandoned it's long standing pandemic plan and recommended instead that affected regions should lockdown immediately to prevent medical facilities being overwhelmed.

    - 'gain of function' is done to get a head start on nature, making the virus in a lab before it evolves in nature allows cures to be developed ahead of time.

    - the vaccines for covid-19 were rolled out, astonishingly, just 7 weeks after the virus's molecular sequence was published.

    But I'm sure it's all just a coincidence. 👀

    And an update on the Vaccines;

It's all about the spike protein. (10 min)

Any proof, document or link that we could read to support your sentences?

Anyone is free to post a text but not everyone is able to make up news.

  11. In my opinion when you set yourself a target of profits you are doing it wrong.

If we look at the ever present banner on this site that at least 70% of people lose money, being part of that 30% is already a massive achievement.

So that 10% that you mentioned in your post is really good if you think about it. Many traders would sign a 5% per year if they could.

My personal aim is not to lose at the end of a period, whatever comes in green is out of many factors, but my risk must be always set to not to lose over 12 months. A really hard task to achieve.

How the heck do you get to -860 million with 10 coins a point. What is the margin factor in that market ?

Ok great, so I can use the streaming api for this.  Assuming I can do this over multiple forex pairs?  I have the streaming api working in that I have been able to print to screen in Python but have hit a bit of a block going beyond that, wasn't sure if it was possible. Any resources you can recommend on how to do this? I'll look myself but if you have anything at your fingertips, that would be 👍

    Thanks!

You can subscribe to multiple epics with the streaming service, once you get your updates it will be per epic. You should hold a collection of epics and its prices in memory , then act on every price update.

    1. Subscribe to prices. (Streaming service)

    2. Subscribe to trades. (Streaming service)

    3. Hold your positions locally in a collection (Get the first snapshot from the REST API)

    4. Set your thresholds per epic in a another collection.

    5. Wait for a price update (Streaming), on that update check your positions and thresholds. Once you reach a level call the Rest API to move the stop.

    6. You will get an update from the Trades streaming service, update your positions collection in that update.

If you can share your code on Github I can have a look when you have something set up.

Hi. I have a trading strategy that I would like to execute but it involves moving the stop once when the price drops below a set threshold. Example:

    • Current EURUSD price is at 10,000 (easy numbers)
    • I put down a sell working order with the level set at 9,980 and a stop set at 9,990. The price drops to below 9,980 and the order is placed.
    • As soon as the price drops further to 9,960 or below, the stop is moved close to the current price, i.e. it is moved from 9,990 to 9,965
    • Note this is a once-off move and a trailing stop won't (I don't think) give me what I need
    • I monitor the price further and tap out if it reaches a lower profit taking level

I am achieving this currently through another rest api process that watches the price every 1 minute and moves the stop when the threshold is hit, but I would like something more automated / on the platform itself as I often miss the intra-minute movements.  I have considered a streaming approach but this can't be set up for limit setting right?  Also considered using alerts but this is not (currently) part of the rest api.  Can I achieve the above using the current IG rest api tools or even 3rd party tools?  Thanks!

I don't see why you couldn't use the steaming API to watch the price and the REST API to move the stop.

If your problem is that you would like to act quicker between minutes just watch the price setting up the streaming service and then when the threshold is hit call the REST API to update the stop. You have already most of the work done.

Through the rest api, the ability to add additional stops and/or limits to existing orders if a level is hit.  For example, I have a current sell order in place with a stop at 10,050. If the price moves down to say 9,950, I would like to move the stop quite close to say 9,960. I could achieve this if I could create another instruction on the platform that specifies the level and the stop, linked to the same order id.  Also the ability to edit this additional instruction via the rest api.  The original stop of 10,050 would still be in place but would be redundant as the 9,960 stop will be hit first. This would make my day.

You can update a position by using this endpoint.

  16. Hi Dylan1234, can we see that complaint that you are going to file?

A demo account is never going to be the same as the live account. Many people have complained about it, always as a rant more than an actual action, but I've never seen an actual formal complaint that would challenge the behaviour of a demo account.

It would be interesting to see where that complaint is ending at, how it is filed, its format and who is addressed to.

Yeah I agree, for the last few months it attracted lots of spammers for some reason (I presume it was not being moderated and had always attracted spam).

However, it did have lots of useful content, often I would search on Google for a question/issue and would see a useful forum post in the results. Over the years it became a decent knowledge base, which I guess is all lost now.

Good point, I guess they turned it down because no one was using it and they didn't think about those queries.

Maybe a good solution would be to load those posts into a knowledge base directory so we still can search through it.
