The FTSE 350 Food Producers index dropped by almost 3000 points today because of the suspension of Associated British Foods shares, which appeared to be due to a glitch at the LSE. The LSE had resumed trading of the security and the index had not gone back up on IG. It then jumped back up to roughly where it was soon after. Would a buy bet on this index have been classed as a manifest error under the customer agreement, due to the underlying cause, or would this have been a valid bet? N.B. I didn't actually bet on this!
