Straddles

I've tried to calculate margins since I have moved over the MT4. On the IG website (international) the margin on the Dax is currently 620 pounds. On MT4 with the size being 0.01, the margin is 138 pounds. I don't know how that I calculated.

I know I'm going on about this, but both LIVE & DEMO is on 1 Pound each.

Thank you for the help thus far. I opened the MT4 account 3 months ago, never used it. How will I be able to retrieve it if I do not have the 2nd email?

I only find the email with the account name (5 digits) How can reset or retrieve my password?

LIVE & Demo (in above example) is on 1 pound Cash. Even after the first month with the increased margin, the DEMO account is still 4x the LIVE's required margin.

When is IG moving up to MT5? All other brokers I use to work with is on MT5.

I've been trying for the last 2 hours to get my MT4 IG account password. Either I'm going crazy or this is not a user friendly approach at all.

Will I be required to fund my IG Meta Trader Account seperatly? Can I trade on the MT account via a browser or only on the trading platform?

Why is the minimum contracts on let's call it the Wall Street capped at 0.50 or on the Germany 30 Cash at 1? This has significant effects on the minimum margin required. I know of traders that trades with less that 600 pounds (due to currency conversion from South Africa for instance).

This has been bothering me as well. LIVE - Wall Street (1Pound) - Spread 3.6 - Contracts 0.5 - Margin - 656 pounds DEMO - Wall Street (1Pound) - Spread 3.6 - Contracts 2 - Margin - 2622 pounds Is this to force demo traders to see increased profits when the indices moves in their favor - eager to open a LIVE account? If it moves against them you can easily just "deposit" fake money again.

Is it possible to have to different indices on one chart, not next to each other, but on top of each other.

Okay I have found the solution. 1) You need to download MT$ from the IG website and NOT on the MT4 website. It needs to show the below once installed 2) It will give you the option to add your details if you have already created a Meta Trader account under My IG. 3) The server will be the IG-LIVE server. 4) Limited Indices will be available.

Kindly assist with explaining "I can Place MT4"

I feel I'm a noob with Mt4. I downloaded MT4 from their website, MT5 opens. I'm unable to log on to the IG-Live via the Web trader and/or the MT5 program.

Is MT4 only for currency pairs? If I'm on Market Watch and click on "Show All" there is no Indices or Metals.
