  1. On my share trading account, the profit & loss total does not match the actual profit & loss of the items listed for my account. The live total and summarizing the individual items does not add up, by a significant amount. Last check I did it was out by 60%.
  2. I suspect the reason for this is, IG has now removed the option from the menu. "Indices" was a menu option a month ago, but they since removed the charts, but left the menu option. They have now also removed the menu option from Share Trading accounts and thus, you have NO indices views available. I complained about this backwards step in "view" functionality in a ticket and IG Markets says one thing and then does the complete opposite in flipping me the middle finger. " Dear Mr. ......, Kindly be advised an IT Incident has been raised to further investigate why this has happened. If you wish to follow-up with an update, the reference number is INC0663660. A current work around for this would be to click on "Watchlists" tab > selecting "Popular Markets" > Add to workspace. Note however, it is a limited list of CFD markets you can view. If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. Regards, Paul Trading Services" I am seriously unimpressed with this continuous watering down Share Trading account functionality and cannot help but notice the incessant push to use a CFD account instead, because by IG Markets own admission, clients lose money using it and we all know nothing is off limits in trying to bait & hook people into signing up for something a business can profit from. I am open to anyone having suggestions of which other online trading tool they had more success with than this thinly veiled daylight robbery. Just look at this review on IG markets and you can understand the push to used CFD accounts and watering down Share Trading account functionality. " WARNING Spread bets and CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 81% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading spread bets and CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how spread bets and CFDs work, and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Professional clients can lose more than they deposit. All trading involves risk." It is only a matter of time .... read about the class action here.
  3. I have the same issue, the Australia (CFD) view on a non-CFD account also now disappeared. Previously I could add views for different indices, but that all disappeared. Only left with an ASX200 CFD view which is also now gone. Everything is going backwards, losing all the info I plotted on the chart.
  4. FX, Commodities and Crypto tickers also disappeared off Share Trading view, despite it showing in the menu as an option to select for viewing only.
  5. I have been using a share trading account with views only of the major indices. This is quite useful when tracking how the days/hours are progressing, but as of this week, all my indices with indicators & drawings on all disappeared with no warning. I have a lot of data stored on it with point in time information. This is now all just gone! Months & months worth.
  6. Hi, Long shot, but worth a try. I had a factory reset done on an old phone and as result of authentication app losing all data, I could not log into my account. IG removed my 2FA to allow me back in, but ever since on neither the old nor the new phone can I get the 2FA working again. Anyone had a similar experience or able to shed some light on how they got theirs working second time around? 2 months into this and no closer to a solution. Thx in advance
  7. Like this....right? Maybe ZA has no electricity to shine a light on this?
  8. I have since learnt that share trading accounts does not offer that functionality, only a CFD account. There is no clear comparison between the account types offered by IG and what you get with it. I think it is grossly misleading & misrepresentation to lure people into the "Demo" account that offers functionalities which you then do not get when you have a normal share trading account. It even alludes to the benefits of these functionality as a must for good trading practice and for safety. It is all good and well to say then to get a CFD account, but by looking at the criteria to open one, is a whole new set of rules. I'll keep looking at other products to see how they compare and what you get with it.
  9. I would like to know the answer for this as well. My account is not a CFD account, but the demo is. I also have no stop-loss functionality as is in the Demo account. This is not ideal.
  10. I have the same question. Why is my Demo account allowing me to do so, but my real trading account does not. Similar to only having the "Deal" option and not an option to "Order" either.
